I think you should contact a trustful representative from yahoo. Maybe you can post it as a question and ask them? I wouldn't respond back to the sender.

Try contacting them to see what they say? That's about all I can really say about that. Either way you will not only find out the truth and if it happens to be a scam then they can alert others in this community much quickly.

Yahoo doesn't run a lottery. This is a well known scam. Avoid.
