I WAS 17 STONE 11 ON SUNDAY AND SINCE THEN I HAVE DONE 5 TO 8 MILES ON TREADMILL EACH DAY AND EATEN SENSIBLY, I LOST 2 POUNDS ON MONDAY, TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY BUT WEIGHED MYSELF TODAY TO FIND I HAVE PUT IT ALL BACK ON ALTHOUGH I ATE NO MORE AND EXCERCISED MORE YESTERDAY, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY?

maybe you are undereating - body loses water weight and muscle in the beginning but since you slow down metabolism - end up gaining.
also womens weight changes during the month - some women can gain up to 15lbs which then lose as soon as get their period.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

Take your weight always & without eating & in the morning if you have to compare. If you wish you can add this exercise in your schedule. This is called foot elevation exercise. Liedown on your back on a bed, hand should be by your sides & close, legs shoud be stretched & straight. Don't keep pillow under your neck or head. Now raise both legs up together by 18 inches & hold it their for as much time you can, knee should not bend. When it seems impossible to hold your leg up, put it down, take rest for 2 mins & start again & again till you get exhausted. It seems easy but when you do it you will know that how difficult it is & how much strain you feel on your abdominal muscles which is the main area of fat storage. You can do it as many times you wish but till 45 mins after meal you are not supposed to do the exercise. See the result in 15 day, you will appreciate it.

That happens when you are doing something different to your body its not used to. Same thing happened to me when i started working out. My doctor told me the best thing to do is weigh yourself once a week at the same time every week. Make sure you do it within a 3 hour window at the same time. You can not measure your weight daily. If you have one week where you gain weight, change some things. You have to constantly "trick" your body. Work out at a different times the following week and do different types of workouts.

Also, remember to drink lots of water. The more water you drink the more you lose. Drink 8 glass's a day (I drink 3 20oz bottles a day), limit your soda/coffee/tea drinks to 2 and never drink more than 12 glass's of water a day (unless you live in a very dry/high altitude).

Good luck, you keep doing what you are doing and u WILL lose weight.

When you do not eat, your body thinks you are starving and slow down your metabolism. What you do is take 2 tbls. apple cider vinegar in a glass of water before a meal for its 93 vitamins and minerals. You will have one or two bites of food and be full. That way you can diet without really dieting. As long as you get the appropriate vitamins and minerals your body will know its not being deprived of nutrition.

you're probably maintaining your weight. you cant lose anymore. you're burning your fats and building more muscles, which is great! if you feel happy and comfortable in your body then dont worry too much about numbers.

drink lots of water and eat healthy!
