A labret is a nice simple and quick piercing to have done. Measuring for placement of the jewellery takes longer than the precedure itself!. your piercer will sit you down and mark where the best place for the piercing to go will be, he will show you and upon agreement, will then pierce you, my piercer does breathing techniques with his customers and is amazing, one breath in, one breath out, next breath in, you are pierced. follow through with the jewellery and you are done. Its one swift movement and over in seconds. Your lip will feel like its slightly bruised for a while, and will be slightly swollen for a few days while healing takes place, your mouth heals quickly and if you look after it properly you will be back at your piercer within 14 days to have a shorter labret stud in. your piercer will give you comprehensive after care instructions, again simple to follow and very effective. Good luck in getting your new jewellery!

no, it doesn`t hurt...they swab out your mouth to get rid of excess saliva, mark inside & outside with a marker to insure the piercing isn`t done crooked, clamp your lip with a small forcep-looking apparatus, put the needle thru & then the jewelry...& voila!!! all done!!! very quick & painless!!!
