I always think about that, and it scares me so much! Sometimes I want to take up a religion just to ease that fear of mine. But of course that is not a sufficient reason to commit to a certain faith. The problem is, there is no answer! No one knows what will happen, at least, there is no proof. But either way, if that were the case, its not like we would know the difference. If you dont exist than you wont know it. So maybe it isnt as bad as it seems. The only thing to do is find what you believe to be true and what is right and live your life accordingly.

Putting the issue of religion itself aside, whether there is or is not anything after death, death itself is unavoidable. It will happen one way or another and you'll eventually answer your own question. If you believe nothing is after death consider this: for as long as reality itself has existed up until this point in time when you are alive, you have ceased to be, so this brief amount of time however long you live is "unnatural" and not existing is the "normal" flow of things since average life span of 75 can't compare to eternity itself in time. Under that pretense life itself is alot scarier than death, just for the simple fact that its something strange and your not used to experiencing normally. Will I be afraid when I die? Probably. But if there is nothing afterwards I won't have the ability to complain otherwise. Why worry on something you can't stop.

you have already answered your own question.
Q:"doesnt that thought scares you?"
A:"you didnt exist , you didnt feel anything , you were nothing!"
ashes to ashes, dust to dust. If you can accept that you were nothing at some point before it should be that scary to accept it will come after life as well. But don't worry you won't exist to know the difference.
you will only have one life on this earth, enjoy it, don't spend too much time worrying. that is a big distraction from finding bliss in life.

Yes i do as i am not religious and don't believe in there being a heaven and hell. I am not scared by it though. I don't think i would really want to live forever... just doesn't appeal to me at all. I believe that death is final, there is nothing beyond that. The thought of a heaven and hell and existing forever scares me much more.

To be honest, having nothing but non existence after this life is not scarey at all...but it would make everything we have gone through here all for nothing...losing all our loved ones..all those innocent people murdered at the university..and the murderer..such a coward isn't he for shooting himself..and if your theory is right..that there is nothing after this stinking life..that means that coward just gets away with it and there is no justice, no punishment..nothing..
That is a cruel life..nothing to live for, nothing to strive for..why don't we all just die then..no point in anything.
But that answers no questions at all. I mean if what you say is true..then what is the harm in any of us believing in God..in trying to become better people..in giving us a reason to live..a purpose..something to hope for...something wonderful to lift our spirits?
Being non existent after this life is so not scarey. It means we just die..no justice for anyone who has been wronged..nothing..it means we can all do what we want and run and hide....we live as cowards ..
I would rather live believing God lives and the Bible is true..I would rather believe in the truth of hell and not the garbage that man has twisted it to be. I would rather believe in heaven..in judgement....in justice..in all the things that are offered to us...
By the way, noone can prove for sure we existed millions of years ago..and noone can prove 100 percent to a non believer that heaven exists...
I just know which one I have the hope in.

The thought would scare me if I didn't know that a spiritual world actually exists. If I just had faith in spiritual things, and not experience and knowledge in this physical world about the spiritual realm, I would indeed be scared out of my mind at that thought. But it's just not so. Jesus is real, and so is heaven. I know Jesus exists, and that's all that matters to me. So I don't fear the scenario where we stop existing, because it just isn't so.

specific, i think in numerous issues. i think the element we call 'ourself' is slightly the Earth's suggestions/spirit that it only lends us for a together as. I beleive it reincarnates yet in no way interior a similar 'blend' because of the fact the 'us' we experienced before. i think for some quantity of time 'our' 'ego' spends it sluggish intact in an Afterworld that resembles what we, at our inner maximum ranges, anticipate to circulate to. we are reborn as new human beings, from the previous, and 'our' previous being is often lost for the time of that rebirth. that element interior the Afterlife of our 'choosing' is the remarkable financial ruin for our former being.

I believe the soul is eternal and has no beginning and no end. Therefore "millions and millions of years ago" we *did* exist. I believe in karma and reincarnation, and that we continue to reincarnate on the physical plane until we are ready to return home ("heaven") ... and that is not the least bit "scary" to me.

Absolutely.
The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ will resurrect my body from the dead and transform it into an indestructible, incorruptible glorified body like His own, and I will reign with Him on the earth together with all his saints through the Millennium, and one day God will create a completely new heaven and earth. The Bible speaks of the ages to come. There will be no end to what remains to be revealed of the inexhaustible creativity of God.
