I'd love to hear from people about the size of their pet cats.
My big boy was just weighed at the vets today. He weighed 9.8kgs (21.6 pounds). He's not fat...just big-boned.
Anyone got a monster bigger?

My sisters cat moo is over 24 inches tall (in my opinion huge!) but only weighs 16 pounds. He is the largest house cat I have ever seen in my life. When he runs around the house the dishes rattle! LOL just kidding. I hadn't seen him since I had not been to see my sis for a few weeks. A woman at work was moving and my sister agreed to take the cat vs. put him in a shelter. He is a great cat just very LARGE! I can only imagine how large your cat is. We need to see a pIc!! What do you feed him deer? LOL

My boys are Maine Coons and at just 3 years old are over 20 lbs. each. They aren't fat....they are really long...3 to 4 ft. Their dad was 24 lbs. and their mom 20 lbs. Maine Coons are called Gentle Giants. The only other breed that I know to be normally large are Ragdolls. Both breeds are long hairs and absolutely beautiful cats.

Bengal Cats are slightly larger than average but cost more too, I believe they are the same as any other cat. Ashera is the new HUGE cat breed from wildcats and domestic cats - They Cost around £11,000 are the RSPCA has said they are pontentially dangerous and you must hold a license to have one in the UK!!!

what breed is it?
the largest cat breed in the world has an average weight of around 20 pounds - thats a Ragdoll, and thats normal for them.
of course, other breeds can get that heavy..... but if its not one of the large domestic cat breeds, id be very suspicious of its health. I would suspect hormone and growth problems - you might need to return it to a different vet for a thorough checkup as these things can lead to cancer and early death.
