I am only 22 but am starting to think i have a kidney stone. I have been getting throbbing pains on the back left side of my torso (right about where i think my left kidney would be). Is there anyway to ease the pain, it throbs on and off all day long and I have been taking advil which has not helped. Also what is the average time the body passes one, it has been about three days so far.

let me first tell u that having kidney stones have many other symptoms other than pain which is really vauge in diagnosis.
in order to say that u have kidney stone u must expierience:
1-Bloody, cloudy or foul-smelling urine
2-Nausea and vomiting
4-Persistent urge to urinate
5-and sometimes if the stones moves a bit towards ur ureter u feel u need to pee but not enough of urine goes out.
so, let's just think that it's due to cold.do u know that if u have cold in ur kidney u feel pain like that of a stone but a bit lesser??
all u have to do is to observe ur symptoms very well and I repeat that if u urinate normally without bleeding and with enough volume that u don't have to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes then it's not kidney stone

Kidney stones may also be harmful, my query is why did she no longer move to the health facility and feature them eliminated? I bought kidney stones final August, and had surgical procedure to have them eliminated. It would possibly not be deadly, however I do not appreciate how she might have stood them very lengthy, mine have been enormously painful and I used to be peeing blood...She will without doubt recuperate, nevertheless it takes a couple of days to consider again to usual and he or she would possibly must put on a catheter for a couple of days as good. Best of success to her.

the hospital can easily check you for a stone with an x-ray.
Please go to the ER or to your doctor. Drink tons of water in the mean time and watch your urine for blood, odd color, or a stone which can be like a grain of sand or to the size of a bean.
