I am neither Christian nor Atheist. No one group of people irritates me, and I try to make everyone I answer a bit more wise than they were before. Accepting differences is important. I am glad that people like you are always there, in the background, helping pave the way to peace through the masses of the intolerant.

Hi Arthur - Good question. I have been really amazed by the animosity here. There are several(if you do a search) Yahoo questions where they ask some variation about hating fundamentalists and many of the answers actually boast about how they despise fundamentalists. Yet the atheists that I know personally are very kind, considerate, loving people whom I get along with very well. I don't assume that the hateful remarks that are so common here represent atheists at large. I think it is a function of communicating
electronically.

I commend you for trying to establish a little peace. However, before you set the new foundation, consider the future of R&S. This forum would not be nearly as interesting if everyone quit bashing each other. Arguments and critiques are part of the learning process. Just let it be. We're all having a good time. It's all in good fun. Let's just enjoy it while it lasts....

Asking and answering questions on this forum and many otters provides a great type of "entertainment" as well as sharing information with one another. This topic, R&S, is a sensitive one, more so than any other. Being tolerant of one another, avoiding personal attackes, avoiding heavy criticism beyond just stating your personal bleives would be a good start.
Instead of crisitcising someone else;s beleifs, simply just stating your own would be a good paramater to follwo.
My 2 cents

I don't have an axe to grind against atheists. I am sure they are not the ones posting anti-Catholic questions on YA. If there is any unlove or lack of understanding in this site it is not coming from Catholics. We are the victims of insults and other hate propaganda here.
I have a different view though of the group that is doing this to us. I count their insults as blessing and as an opportunity to ask God to work a miracle in their lives.
Peace and every blessing!

Unfortunately there will be the gross childish people and the intellectually challenged who prefer to argue than just say Oh I didn't understand where you were coming from-You are a great start to a great movement-keep it rolling Bravo

Enlighten yourselves, realized that all are children of God. God and Science are both true and do not contradict each other, so one compliments the other actually. Not evolution OR creation, evolution AND creation. Read the Bible properly, and there are NO contradictions.
Die hard science nut AND God nut.

Christians can drop the your going to hell stuff, stop meddling in other peoples business (gays, pro-choice, freedom from religion in our schools/government), and quit insisting in converting us into your cult. That would be great... in return I am would abstain from posting anything negative about your faith.
