So I heard aloe vera can relieve stress and reduce redness on skin. My face is usually red and feels tired, especially around the cheek area, so I wanted to try using aloe vera. I found a sunblock that contains aloe vera (well, it says that on the front; in the inactive ingredients section it says 'aloe barbadensis leaf juice').

I want to know if using this sunblock for the purpose of relieving stress and redness would work. The sunblock is Banana Boat, by the way.

Oh, and by redness, I don't mean sunburns. I mean acne redness.

I do not know the effectiveness of aloe vera on stress relief but I am very certain that aloe vera gel does great wonders to sensitive skin, itchiness & redness. If you are not doing sports or staying under the hot sun, you do not need a sunblock. Use Jorubi aloe vera gel. They are available at most of the medical halls. After the application, the gel can be absorbed by your skin quickly. No oily effect. Apart from skin redness, it is also applicable on pimples, acne, mouth ulcers, piles, minor burns, minor cuts, bruises & insect bites.
Very comfortable & effective. I put a tube in every bedroom, in my sitting hall, kitchen & in my office. I also carry 1 small tube around. Very handy.

I think the sunblock is a great idea but as far as Aloe Vera, I've used straight Aloe Vera (fruit of the earth brand - 100%) and it just doesn't do anything. It doesn't calm my face or or lessen redness. Wish it did....

P.S. I was using it for general inflamation. I have really sensitive skin.

There are lotions in the facial moisturizers area of a store that help with redness.

I never heard of aloe vera relieving stress, but the gel does relieve discomfort from hemorrhoids.

Try bergamot, jasmine, clary sage, lavender, rose geranium, or chamomile pure essential oils to relieve stress. Make sure you use a base with all except lavender.
