I need to know what kind of a diet I must follow since I've decided to increase my workload in college. Does anyone have a meal-system that they already use or specific foods that they eat that successful gives them energy on a day to day basis?

Stay away from food that is real heavy!! remember that your body uses energy to burn food. This is why people always get sleepy after big meals! I would eat high carb low sugar low fat diets like pasta, whole wheat breads and rice. If you must have something sweet try natural sweets like 100% apple juice, carrot juice or grape juice.

The whole idea is to eat high energy "lite" food. As far as meat stay away from anything fried. Also chicken and fish, no red meat please!

The Trim Advantage system is the best plan I know of.

This kit delivers, with complete support for your first 30 days on the Trim Body System Protein Plus Diet. The kit includes a binder to hold the print materials, which include the Quick Start Guide, a 12-page booklet that introduces you to the plan. It also includes Meal Plan Cards that step you through every meal for 30 days, including shopping tips, meal preparation, supplements, and recipes. Eighteen detailed, full-colour Recipe Cards show you how to fix simple, healthy meals, fast. And a week's worth of 10-minute exercises are described on the Fitness Cards, so you can take your exercise plan with you, wherever you go.

In the kit is a 2-DVD set that features a physician discussing the health effects of being overweight, a fitness expert who introduces you to and coaches you through all the exercises in the 4-3-2-1 Body Training System, and an introduction to the Protein Plus Diet. The kit also includes Nutrilite and Mekiwin weight-loss support supplements and protein powder and Trim Advantage protein bars and meal replacement shake mix.

The Trim Body System is designed to encourage the kinds of changes in lifestyle that may result in lifelong weight loss. Medical authorities recommend a weight loss of no more than 2-3 pounds a week to reduce the health risks associated with more rapid weight loss.

*The Protein Plus Diet was developed by The Better Life InstituteTM and approved by the Nutrilite Health Institute.

You can order the Trim Advantage system at www.jewel.mychoices.biz (use the search field at the bottom of the screen).

eating every 3-4 hours is the best way. this keeps insulin levels stable. if you are a student and aren't very active outside the gym I would follow a moderate carb diet. you don't need a lot of carbs if you aren't physically active. fatty acids are the primary energy source used when the body is at rest, i.e., reading, computing, light house work, etc.

if you eat on campus just watch the high carb meals, and always eat plenty of proteins with each meal. at night cut the carbs and just stick to proteins and healthy fats for meals

i used to be on a nutrition for 5months consuming five small foods an afternoon. i surely hated each and every unmarried day of it. so as soon as once more i must lose a few weight so i discovered that i might be completely satisfied if i ate one large meal an afternoon and handiest snacked the leisure of the day. so i've 2pcs of toast with an overly small quantity of jelly or honey and a small glass of milk for breakfast and that i both have a natural dimension lunch or dinner and the leisure of the day i consume uncooked culmination and vegetables due to the fact they're low in energy and also are gratifying due to the fact they must be chewed alot earlier than swallowing. apples, carrots, celery and reduce up cucumbers are what i normal snack on.low cal.microwave popcorn could also be an occasional snack. i do not brain wasting weight this fashion. my meal is traditionally simply average meals. even a burger with a few chips and a nutrition drink is exceptional. i am wasting weight so it really works for me.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

If you have a low energy level you might be missing out on certain B vitamins (whole wheat breads, pasta, rice), iron, or you might need to drink more water or get more sleep.
