Medical and scientific data reveals that men are initially attractive to physical beauty; and later personality. Men somehow are very stimulated by visual attributes, then smell, and lastly touch.
In essence, its not shallow in behavior.

I'm not going to lie, looks are important. You can't date someone you're not attracted to, it doesn't work out. But different people find different things attractive so don't assume that if you aren't the greatest looking, guys won't like you.
Personality is important. Shy guys often prefer to find a girl with an attractive personality. Personality is often more important in relationships lasting.
So both really, though most guys tend to favour looks over personality.

Their looks, men can be very shallow. Girls can be shallow too. They look for the same things we look for, looks and personality.
