Why are there so many obvious and blatantly inappropriate questions posted here on R&S?
Do they think that the rest of the world is dumb?
Is there a place on this forum where we can have an actual intelligent discussion and debate without all the name calling, bashing, and hatred of different cultures and beliefs?

Thank you,

It takes all types, unfortunately at times some of them can be offensive. I think alot of the inappropriate questions are posted here because people know this is a high traffic area, so they'll get a response.
It's a bit sad, but keep posting questions and answering the serious ones and you'll enjoy the experience. Also maybe just avoid any of those silly people with silly questions.

This is an entertaining diversion. The real world is the bright shiny thing on the other side of the glass. Discussion involves give and take, not a question and a boatload of answers. Find your world offline. Try to have some fun and learn something about human nature while you're here.

It isn't always pretty though.

Sam, unfortunately people are people and say what is on their mind. Unless you check out some of your local organizations or groups for conversational purposes, I do not think that you are going to get the response here that you are looking for. Try joining some of your more professional organizations. I live in Clinton Maryland. Living here in the Washington DC vicinity I've joined organizations such as the Washington society for young professionals and Toastmasters. I was also the press and publicity chair for the NAACP, Alexandria, VA branch. Hope this helps.

I certainly agree with you. I think the only way we can get rid of these very miserable people is just not answer their questions or respond to them.Eventually they will realize there are no laughs for them here and move on. I have been thinking of leaving this place and staying elsewhere.I get tired like you. I wish Yahoo would do something about this. Blessings to you

Well. Yahoo Answers is not a place for debate...though many people believe it is a message board. It is not. It is a question/answer board. Two different things.

So, my answer is no. Sorry. I appreciate your sentiments and on any other forum I'd agree wholeheartedly.

Blessings to you, Sam!

People tend to lose their inhibitions rather quickly online, mainly due to the anonymity and the attention they can feed off of. So they spout off their bigoted views and describe their most explicit and perverse fantasies because they know they can get away with it.
So, to answer your question, unfortunately that would mean no.

You're new here. No would be the answer to your question. Every thoughtful person who wants to have rational discussions asks this question. I'm sorry, there are just too many irrational people here.

Best way to do that is in real life. People tend to have a false sense of courage hiding behind a computer screen.

People differ. Many come here looking for intelligent discussion, and occasionally find it. Others come to rant, and still others come just to be silly. It takes all kinds.
