Music helps. Friends are wonderful and offer love and support.

I am a survivor. I have proved it over and over, I can only depend on me.

I work at an emergency room and see sick, hurt, abused, and mentally disturbed pepole every day. I sometimes can go months w/out realizing how good I have it. I only notice when I get down. Really look around you youll see. I can tell you already. You have a computer so you must have a phone or cable, you have to pay tht bill some way, you have home, a bed to sleep, your warm tonight, maybe not what you want but food too. It could be way worse for you. trust and believe that God loves you if he brings you 2 it he will bring you through it.

Spending time with my family & children. Doing things out of the ordinary (stepping away from the daily grind.) Creating - painting, writing, composing, singing, listening to and playing music. Going to museums and looking at works of art, and appreciating the talents of others. Getting lost in a movie or book.

Calling an old friend.

Making a new one.

Revenge,I regret to say. It all started in 1972 when I lost my after-school job because of an obnoxious co-worker. I simply couldn't handle the sense of boiling up inside; I had to do something. So I torched his Mustang(which he had beautifully restored) at 3 a.m. and that gave me so much satisfaction, particularly since he had no insurance. Since then I've derived more satifaction out of revenge than anything productive. Oh,it sad,but what can I do?

Spending time in the word and talking to God. Meditating on all the people and things in my life that I have to be thankful for and thanking God for them. Praise is a powerful way to lift the spirit.

Dave Brubeck, Ben Fold Five, and the knowledge that things could be worse...
Out of the gloom a voice said unto me,
"Smile and be happy, things could be worse",
So I smiled and was happy, and behold...
Things got worse.

Have a nice day all.

I have to get up. There are people who love me and would be hurt if I "threw in the towel" Besides at my age(52) I have an abundant understanding that nothing stays the same and you never know what tomorrow will bring.

When you have a higher purpose, you always have a reason to get back up.
