I use Nuva Ring. It's the best!! here's why: Unlike the pill that can take up to a month the ring only takes a week to work. Also, you insert it in only once a month! Which is best because the pill has to be taken every day at the same time and the patch once a week, like i said once a month with the ring! Also if it's bothersom during sex you can take it out for up to an hour no worries!! And it's just as effective as the pill but with less worry and hassel! I've been using it for about two years and i love it! i never have to worry about it! ^_^ good luck!! hope it helps!!

The most effective birth control method is abstinence. However, if you feel you're mature enough and ready to engage in responsible sex, then by all means go on the birth control pills. And everytime, you engage in sex, make sure you use condomns for added protection and to avoid contacting STD's (sexually transmitted diseases.)
There are minimal side effects of birth control pills although there is warning against formation blood clots, and weight gain. However, that's one sure way to regulate your menstruation and relieve the menstrual cramps.
