Possession is 9/10ths of the law, my friend. And since 9/10ths of your dollar is going to charity, you're totally in the clear! But next time, I'd recommend taking more money out of the offering bucket...10 cents will really do you no good. A "dime bag" doesn't really cost a dime!

I am sure you are trying make a point, but I will pretend you are being SINcere.

If you take a dollar it was not freely given to you (which is what tithe and offerings are)(I can back this up by scripture if you like) ergo you stole. Stealing is on the top ten list if you know what I mean.

If you wish to spend 90 cents on charity use your own money or ask the Pastor. I would not attend a Church where the Pastor would not give a person a buck. More to the point. If you came to your Pastor with a 90/10 ratio charity and the Church was not willing to help back it I would seriously doubt the Church.

Yes, this is still wrong. You have broken the Commandment of Thou Shalt Not Steal. Once the money is in the offering plate, it is the duty of the church to see where the money should go. NOT YOU. AND now you have broken the second Commandment. '' Thou Shalt Not Take the Name of The Lord Thy God in Vain. You publicly took Gods name in vain. This Commandment you have dis-obeyed. If you plan to steal from the Offering plate, then you will become a thief. Tonight, you need to kneel by your bedside and ask God to Forgive you. Peace be with you !

You made a profit off of something that wasn't yours. Theoreticly it was wrong....but hell it's 10 cents wtf can you do with 10 cents today? Do it enough times and you can steal ALOT of money doing so and that would be pretty wrong...but really mostly just pathetic. Although I don't support organized religion I don't support stealing from them either....wait maybe I do...as long as you promise to give 90 cents of it to charity I say go for it. =P

That is called stealing. That money was put there from someone who intended it to go to the Church. Maybe if you went to Church you would learn right from wrong and not have to ask these kinds of questions on Yahoo.

Well, 10 cents of it is theft. We know that much. But as for the 90 cents, I agree that you have quite a question.

No. those are difficult situations, with the cost of living skyrocketing and the government approximately to improve taxes. Charities do no longer build our roads nor fix colleges. additionally, it is not charity in line with se if that's crucial.

You are still stealing a dollar. It matters not what you do with it after you've stolen it. If you steal a car, then give it to someone who doesn't have a car, you are still guilty of stealing the car. If you break into a house and steal the furniture then give it to the mission it doesn't absolve you from the theft. You can't redeem yourself by giving away crap that doesn't belong to you in the first place. Duh!
