You have your choice just as I have my choice
I will not sit here and preach to you or browbeat you into seeing my side of things
Believers feel that Non-Believers are crazy
just as Non-Believers feel that Believers are crazy
To each his/her own

Do you see gravity? Can you prove it exists? Not completely....one day we may discover we were wrong, perhaps very unlikely but everything is until it happens. We can't really prove anything beyond doubt. (seriously)
You are not crazy, religious people are not crazy. Why can't we just accept we believe different things and call a truce.
You don't have to believe but can you offer any valid and good reasons other than your opinions and suggestions that you shouldln't believe in things you can never see on why everyone must conform to your viewpoint? It is no more fair than religious people expecting you to change.

Are you assuming that 82% of the world is Christian? Where on earth are you getting your data?
Just because someone is religious, it doesn't mean they're Christian. Just because someone is religious, it doesn't mean they believe in the fairytales or disbelieve science. Many people take religion just as suggestions or an idea to live by.
My beliefs do not interfere with science, and they are entirely based in reality.

Wouldn't waste my time praying for you. Take a look around and see a flower and a tree and if you really can't figure out how to make these things, then you need to consider there is something greater than you. As to what religion you choose, I leave that up to you.
As towards the 21st century I have on thing to ask, "where are the flying cars"?

How do you know your not stupid. Stupidity is relative; you have to have something to compare yourself too in order to determine whether or not your stupid. Deep down we all know that there is a God. People like you try and push this idea away by saying that we are stupid and that you are smart. You try and make an excuse for your disbelief. My question to you is, if you are so smart and the rest of the world is just childish, then why are you just sitting at your computer ranting about something you don't even believe in when you could be out showing the world how smart you are.

Do not make the mistake of believing that what is in the majority is normal. You can have abnormal majorities. It happens all the time. Alcohol is not a normal source of nutrients for the human body (in fact, it's a poison) but the majority of people drink it.
The majority of people fear things, especially things they do not understand. But fear is only a useful mechanism when it helps you to survive. If fear prevents you from learning, it is an abnormal reaction, and yet most people do not learn because they are afraid of the truth.
The majority of people are social creatures, and have a desire for acceptance, and approval. To this end, they will go along with things that they may disagree with personally, or that may be inherently immoral or unethical. This is abnormal behavior, but it happens all the time.
Our population is a bell curve, and you should be proud that you are in the fringe. There's no virtue in being "one of the masses."

You are allowed to have your own opinion and I do not consider you stupid. Why, would you consider someone stupid who does not share your opinions. I don't consider myself crazy so why should you believe I am with out even knowing me? Not all people believe the same things. not even those who do not believe in God. I say stop assuming you are right and accept the fact that the earth is made of diverse people with differing beliefs.

Well...82 % of the of the world (or us little humans running around being grandiose while on it) has a little something that is considered intangible and quite....precious. 82% by your standard are not oblivious, or easily fooled or 'childish" or believe in "fairytales". 82% of the world has "hope" the defining attribute of faith is a sense of hope for somthing other then our own knowledge or ken (awareness). Hope places belief and trust in something we do not always understand or can explain. So...I will not passive agressively pray for you, you're not important enough to me to pray for, it is something people need to ask for to have happen. But those who do pray and have faith are not stupid.

I will not say that you are abnormal or crazy for not believing in religon.
But don't you think it is a bit hypocritical to attack this 82% while saying that you shouldn't be attacked for your lack of religon?
Neither side should attack the other. You can perhaps say that religons have flaws, and others can say that lack of religon does not make sense. But calling others crazy does not help you make a point. On the contrary, it just proves that you have nothing of importance to say.

I can understand needing to believe in an afterlife. I really can.
It's difficult to cope with the idea that your consciousness ends when your body dies. It's even more difficult to cope with the idea that you will never see your loved ones again.
So I can sympathize with believers.
What I can't understand is using your religion as a weapon against other people. Or trying to shove it down other people's throats. That's the ugliest, most mean-spirited, self-centered, arrogant thing I've ever seen.

There are several things going on with this -
First - some folks just have that faith
Second - some folks can't deal with the inexplicable and need or seek some sort of explanation for things that have none.
Third - some folks need comfort and find comfort in their faith
Me, I wish it worked for me, but it doesn't. However, I'm not sure what your need to criticize those with faith is about. Whatever works for them is cool with me.
