My kids love frozen strawberries, so I often do it with supermarket berries when I can't get fresh. (My MIL grows them, but last year was a terrible year for strawberries.)

First, rinse them off gently.

Second, line a cookie sheet with wax paper (plastic wrap will work, but it may tear).

Third, remove the green parts (hulls). You may also want to remove any bruised parts, but I just eat damaged berries right away rather than try to preserve them.

Fourth, swish in water if necessary, and then line them up on the cookie sheet. You should have a single layer -- they are easier to portion out later if you do.

Fifth, freeze. When frozen (give them at least four hours, or up to two days), remove and place in a freezer bag.

And that's it! Wonderful for smoothies, jam, syrup, or just eating plain out of the bag.

Wash with clean water, de-stem, slice them 1/2" thick and then mix them with sugar. Every 4oz of strawberries add 1 oz of sugar. Blend the berries and the sugar then place in plastic bag and freeze as soon as possible.
Upon thawing the flavor will be much enhanced.

Don't expect great results as the moisture will crystallise and harm the texture.
