Which war are you asking about? All of these artists became well known before WWI. Post war means after the war. The best known American artists after WWI and before WWII were Georgia O'Keeffe, Edward Hopper, Thomas Hart Benton and Maxfield Parrish. George Bellows could easily be in this list because his sports paintings became very famous during this time.

If it's WWII you're asking about the answer would have to be either Jackson Pollock or Andy Warhol.

To include Cassatt, Whistler, Homer and Sargent it would have to be post-Civil War or post-Spanish American War.
