... in which you can hear a plane taking off, or landing? It is an instrumental song, very similar to Barry White's "Love Theme". It's driving me nuts, I can't seem to find anybody who has heard it.

Pink Floyd's "Welcome to the Machine" from the Wish You Were Here album (1975)? I can't remember how White's song goes, but this song intro/ending has a sound similar to a plane, although I've always thought it sounded like a car accellerating (it's fun to listen to in the car when you're speeding up!)

I completely agree, in spite of the shown fact that on the instant does have some good track, it grew to become into easily better back then. i'm no longer huge on disco, and the 80's have been in order that so, yet i like classic rock. human beings interior the 60's and 70's knew a thank you to make good track. particularly purple Floyd, and so on. The lyrics extremely had a meaning that wasn't shallow, and you had to extremely hear to the track with the intention to totally savour it. And all this on appropriate of a catchy beat and killer guitar! long stay ROCK!!!!!!!
