ts at them? This isn't the wild west. Noone gives you a chance to draw anymore. They just shoot you, particularly if you have a gun. A gun is useless, unless you want to shoot a bunch of students yourself.

Did you know that national crime statistics show that where there is increased citizen gun ownership, there is less crime, including violent and gun related crimes?

the gun may not give me the ability to protect myself. sure enough if somebody wants to kill you they will shoot you from a distance. or from close with no warning.

however what the ownership of a gun and the right to carry it would do would be to give other people the ability to protect their fellow humans.

the guy at VA tech lined people up and shot them from one account.

now if i am in this line and he is shooting people. or even if i am just in the room. and i have access to a gun. i have a chance to stop him. so long as the person with the gun is not the first that he kills then that person has an opportunity to stop them. most will back down when they are in danger.

these things happen because these psychos rely on our gun control laws to keep guns out of the hands of their victems.

if everybody had a gun. a few things would change.

first off ownership of a gun would cease to be cool.

having a gun on the street would be common.

because they know that everybody has a gun the criminal element would be less likely to act. knowing that anyone that sees the crime can now stop it.

think about it. if you are going to rob somebody with a knife. and they have a knife too you are going to waite untill somebody with less protection comes along.

if the next person has a clearly displayed can of mace then you will again waite for easier targets.

if everybody were issued a gun upon graduating highschool. then there would be very few easy targets.

and the ones that did not have a gun would have the protection of knowing that everyone had one.

I own a gun, and knives
Does that mean that I'm going to go on a rampage?
No
Don't make light of the situation that happens when people are shoot.
You can make all the laws you want to for gun control, that only means that those who Follow these laws will have problems getting a gun if they choose. But if a person wants a gun bad enough, trust me, they will get one

It is called a balance of power.

If you take away guns (ban them) then the only ones with guns will be the criminals and cops and there aren't enough cops to protect all people from a person that is willing to break the law to get a gun!

If someone is going to commit a crime with a gun is it logical to think they will be concerned with getting a gun legally? I don't think so!

I know many gun owners, mostly sportsmen and women, but also some that keep guns around for protection. The need for protection in the home indicates that a threat already exists: there is a reason to fear. Threatening agents already exist in many places. Surprizingly (or not) many of those places are those that bar law-abiding citizens from carrying a gun! Think about it: in a city that bars keeping a firearm in your house (or on your person) for protection, exactly WHO is going to be carrying a gun?
Hint: it isn't Barney Fife!

Being "nice" to a man breaking into your house at night will not prevent you from being raped and/or killed, but a Saturday Night Special will.

People who buy guns for protection generally keep them in their homes for such, and not on their persons. Those who do, can get a license to do just that. Viable threats to life and limb will not just disappear because we are nice, or because we wish them to do so. In the face of danger, it pays to be prepared.

If even one of the students that were killed in the VA Tech massacre had been permitted to carry a concealed weapon, there would not have been a massacre at that school.

Further, if people these days didn't have a fearful attitude towards firearms, someone could have disarmed the jerk when he stopped shooting to reload. Instead, they all cowered in fear, knowing they were about to die, and no one did anything to save themselves, or their classmates.

We've neutered a whole generation, telling them that violence doesn't solve anything, and that you can "reason" with people. Apparently, you cannot reason with unreasonable people, and 32 people died because of empty philosophy, and a lack of weaponry.

The nationwide Rifle affiliation not greater protects the hobbies of gun vendors than Monsanto represents the hobbies of peasant farmers. The NRA replaced into previously taken over via and grew to develop into the mouthpiece for the gun manufacturers. Gun manufacturers representing gun vendors is like hollow representing cotton growers.

It saves a lot of people no matter what propaganda you want to put out. There is a story from about two years ago that is very similar on another campus, except students ran and got their guns and it ended much differently.

Of course you can't speculate on what would've happened at VT if others had guns, but personally I feel that maybe at the least, not as many people would have been murdered if someone had shot him.

Most people that would just start shooting can't aim, I can. I will never give up my guns. It is my god given right to have them available to protect my family and home.

The majority of gun owners I know use them to hunt. Personally, I don't want any kind of gun.
