My friend and her family need to come up with $2000.00 to pay their rent or the landlord is going to throw them out. They have until Friday to get the money. They have nowhere to go. They really don't want to move. I really don't want them to move either. How can they get the money to pay there rent?

I have always heard that it is hard to get renters out. They have rights even if the rent is late. Perhaps they can contact a lawyer to try to buy them some extra time to catch up on the rent. Maybe even check online for renters rights.
Other ideas are to have a yard sale, sale jewerly at a pawn shop to get some cash.
Divide the owned rent up into payments that they can afford. Give the landlord a date that they can gie him some money.
I hope this helps ease your mind. I do understand. It is kind of you to want to help them.

2000 dollars is a lot of money to try and beg off someone. I would have said ask a church but in this case maybe it would be better for them to move. If they can't come up with the money this month they probably won't have it next month either.
