I have been having off and on stomach problems for the past year and a half. I started goin to the doctor and had an upper and lower GI scope and they biopsied and found nothing. Then I had a hida scan done and showed a slow emptying gallbladder, so I had it removed. I was ok for about two months then I got salmonella good poisoning. I am having more trouble now than ever. I have had Ct scans, xrays, blood tests, and the only thing they found was mesenteric adenitis which is swelling of the lymph nodes. It is usually only found in children but I have been on meds for a month now and it hasnt got any better and the pain is still there and I am having, diarhea, nausea, vomiting, extremely dry skin, dizzyness and severe abdominal and pelvic pains. The Ct scan also showed a cyst on my liver and left kidney and both ovaries. But the doctors have tried several meds and still nothing is better. I have lost 8 lbs in the past month and have been eating soup and crackers. What Is wrong with me?

When I had my gallbladder out the dr looked at my appendix and said it looked fine. Also when i had the ct scan it said my appendix was filled with gas but nothing else and that it looked normal. I also lead a very healthy lifestyle usually. I do cardio for 30-45 min 5 days a week and i do light weight training 6 days a week and I eat very healthy and well balanced. I have moved to a new dr and he wants to do all the same tests over again.

I went to a GI specialist yesterday for an Upper GI scope and I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia and Gastroparesis. I go back in a few days for a colonoscopy to find out what is causing the lower abdominal pain and diarhea and weight loss.

Only a Dr. can tell you what's wrong with you. I read that if your Dr. can't find the problem it's time to go to some other Dr. Keep looking for the right one. Sooner or later you will find one that can diagnos what the problem is. Don't wait too long.

Your complaints sound very much like an illness my daughter went through. She was very ill with similar symptoms for six months during which time many meds were tried and tests run. Despite scans that looked good she continued to have pain and problems. Finally we got her appendix removed and this fixed her right up. Three generations of women on her side of the family have all had bad appendix. btw - Liver cysts are very common and usually do not indicate anything wrong.

Ask them to check your bile duc as you just had your gallbladder out and it could be blocked. It is unusual but happens after gall bladder surgery. someone I know just had theirs removed and suffered from the symptoms you described and a upon further examination it was a blocked bile duct. It had them all chasing there tails for the longest time. Feel good soon

Sometimes getting in really good shape and eating healthy can help you body compensate for problems that have no diagnosis. Eat tons of things like collard greens, broccoli, garlic, cranberries ... research foods that are nutrient dense. If you're eating soups, make sure you use lots of parsley and garlic ... fresh.

You need a second opinion. Try finding a good internal medicine specialist. This doesn't sound normal.
