The devil has belief on the existence of God, the power of God and know that God is the mightiest, however the devil is trying to overthrow God from his throne, that is why the devil is doing things that will destroy the power of God.

The devil want to be above God so that evil spirit will reign in this world but God will not allow it to be happened and if the people will continue to be tempted with evil things, bad things ,God will end the world and will send his son, Jesus to judge us and sinners will be punished on a lake of fire for hardship.

"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." (James 2:19)(KJV); however this is not the kind of belief that leads to salvation. This is a mental assent, not a trust that comes from the heart. He [devil] was in heaven at one time as an angel (Ezekiel 28), but was cast out because of his rebellion. "And he [Jesus] said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." (Luke 10:18) This is WHY he believes in God, he used to live with Him! Another reason too, is that God sent him to hell (Matthew 25:41).

The devil tries to lead people away from God because he HATES God and God's creation, which includes humans, His crowning of creation. Jesus said about the devil "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10) (KJV)

Please take heed. As Jesus has the plan for you to be saved and go to heaven, the devil has a plan for the destruction of every soul, including you! This should behoove you and all to trust and believe upon the Lord Jesus, knowing that He will grant us eternal life!

You realize that you are calling down the wrath of self righteous Christian zealots right? Wait a minute...so am I!

Why do these idiots always answer questions about God with biblical verses? Is it safe to assume that if I question Gods existence then I probably don't value that book? Quote away bible thumpers, and all you wanna be children of the unknowable!

God created the Devil/Satin. He knows Him! there are so many verses in the Bible that show this. The book of Job for instance.
Why do you ask?

Satan was one of God's favorite angels before they had a falling out. So it is safe to say that Satan knows without a doubt that God exists.

If you read Job 1:7-10, two people are talking, God and Satan. Now if they’re talking to one another is it reasonable to say Satan doesn’t believe in him?
