I don't like the idea of decorating church pews. Churches are nice enough as they are. I'm not putting anything on the pews at my wedding. Less is more.
But then it's you wedding, not the florists. Do what you really want or you'll end up regretting it later.

"Proper" IS doing what you want. However, keep in mind that the florist has done this more than you, knows what looks good. Bows all the way down the aisle may be a bit much, especially if it's a long aisle. I would start with a lot in the front of the church (near the altar) then gradually go from every pew (first 3-5 rows) then every other(to about 10 rows), every third, etc. This way, it's what you want but not as overwhelming. Remember, though, it is your (and your fiance's) day...in the end, you have to do what YOU want!
Congrats, and best luck!

You can do it any way you want. It's popular to do them at the front of the church in the first few rows, as your florist recommended. The reason for this is that the pew bows designate that those rows are reserved and there are "close" family/friends seated in those pews.
Also, having bows all the way down the aisle can be a bit distracting and overwhelming (depending on how long your aisle is). Picture your photographer taking photos of you coming down the aisle. There will be pew bows all the way down on either side, which would very possibly take away from you in the photo. It may look a bit "busy." Just my 2 cents!

Pew bows have a specific purpose, they mark the seating of the Bride and Groom's immediate family members and VIPs that the Bride or Groom would like to sit "up front" (for example: a special teacher or a Godmother). Yes, I have seen weddings where the pew bows are placed at the end of each row BUT the majority of weddings have the pews bows only at the end of the first, second or third rows. Is it wrong? No. It actually looks quite nice, seeing all the rows decorated as you first walk into the church. Suggestion: instead of using pew bows, what don't you consider using a small cluster of flowers at the end of each row (that even looks nicer). If you want decorations all the way down the aisle then decorate the first few rows a little more elaborately than the rest. You can have beautiful pew decorations that will not make you pictures look to busy.
The thing you need to remember is this is your day and it should be everything you want.
Congratulations and good luck in your marriage.

It's your wedding, have it the way you really want it to be. Your florist can make suggestions, and she can show you photos of different examples, and then you can decide.
At the weddings I've attended, the bows were place at every third pew all the way down to the end.

Your florist is telling you the proper thing. If you want to decorate the church, put your money in the arrangements on the alter. The bows are used to signify the seats for the family only.

Honey, it's your wedding! You can have bows on every pew if you want. I always thought they should be on everyone. As a matter of fact, when I was doing helping we did this at most wedding, then we the trend was to place them on the first several rows to make those special for family setting.
That's the main reason, is to seperate the regular quests from family. If you want them on all the pews, I would do it. Your quests that you have invited are important to you, maybe even as important as some of the family. So, you remember this 'THE BRIDE IS ALWAYS RIGHT".
Happiest of wedding days, and years and years of blessings for you and your love!
God bless us all.............

No, you jut have them on the first three rows or so down each side, usually for those pews reserved for family and close friends. It's just too much to have all the pews decorated.

Do what you want! The florist sounds like she just wants you to spend more on flowers to decorate instead of pew bows!
