Don't think yourself into being sad over it. Look at it as an opportunity to 'visit' them in other ways, such as emails, videos, pictures, and even surprise boxes every once in a while. Also, find something different in your area to do when they come to visit, that ya'll usually don't do. Think of it as planning a mini-vacation in your own town.

I'm sorry to hear that. With today's technology there's many ways to keep in close touch with ones you love. There are web cams, digital cameras, instant messaging, and more. When your son and daughter in law get settled maybe you guys can set some things up to connect electronically a couple of times a week, then you can be kept current on your grandchild and what's going on.

aww gee, i'm sure you will miss them.
keep in touch via email and don't forget pictures! hopefully, you can make arrangements to visit them often.
i think that if you call on the phone, and keep close contact, that would be a good start...
it will take time to adjust, that's for sure. i hope you will be able to see them at least a few times a year.... hugz

I WENT THROUGH THE SAME THING. MY HEART WAS BROKEN, BUT I STARTED TO REALIZE THAT I NEEDED NOT TO THINK OF MYSELF. I KNEW THE MOVE WOULD BE BETTER FOR THEM BECAUSE MY SON GOT AN EXCELLENT JOB, AND NOW THEY HAVE A HOME AND ARE DOING VERY GOOD FINANCIALLY. WE VISIT THEM EVERY TIME WE GET A CHANCE. BELIEVE ME, I USE TO SEE MY GRAND KIDS EVERYDAY. BUT IN TIME YOU WILL BE OK. YOU WILL BE HAPPY FOR THEM. IF THIS IS WHAT THEY WANT, HIDE YOU SADNESS AND LET THEM KNOW YOU WILL VISIT THEM, AND THEY WILL COME TO VISIT YOU. GOOD LUCK I KNOW HOW MUCH YOU HURT, BUT IT REALLY WILL BE OK. KATHY

Just because they are moving does not mean that they won't ever see you, talk to you and love you! If you are sad that you won't be able to see them as often get a webcam and have them get one or give it to them as a gift. You can talk to them whenever you want to and see them so it won't seem like they are not with you. I live away from my family and use a webcam to talk/see them...

You have to learn to let go. you cant expect them to be there all the years of there lifes,there growing up so u should be happy for them and proud.
