Wiccans all share pretty much the same creed. People want to be Wiccans because it's how they identify themselves. You could say the realize how magick works and want to go with that. They also might not agree with other religions or ideas.

Why do people want to be Wiccans? Because it is a beautiful and deeply fulfilling religion to those who feel called to it. As Wiccans, we do not ask that you convert to our faith -- that's not what we're about. Your path is your own, and if you follow a different religion (or no religion at all) that is your business, and is between yourself and whatever Gods may exist.

There are dozens, if not hundreds, of different kinds (or Traditions) of Wiccans. It is a religion that encourages a lot of diversity and forging of new paths. Here is a list of some of the better-known ones:

As in any religion, there are people who do not like other Wiccans because they feel that those other Wiccans are not "true" Wiccans. For the most part, though, Wiccans tolerate a lot of variance of belief, and accept the practices of other Wiccans even if they do not take part in them themselves.

People want to be Wiccan because they feel that path is right for them. There are probably as many different kinds of Wiccans as there are of Christians. I have personally never met Wiccans that don't get along because of the way the practice. The have not gotten along because of other things in their lives but not because of the religion. No I am not Wiccan.

People are drawn to Wicca for their own reasons. Ask 50 different Wiccans what brought them down their path and you will get 49 different answers, if not 50.

There are lots and lots and lots of established paths in Wicca. And then (estimated) half of all Wiccans are eclectic and make their own paths.

Some like each other, some don't, just like everybody in the world has friends and enemies.

Only one kind and their ethics are more christian than many Christian's. They believe in the law of three which means everything you do returns to you times three-both good and bad.

I am myself not a wiccan since I believe in the G-d of the hebrews and his son Jesus Christ and Wiccans have different deities, but as for why people would want to be Wiccans check out this article called 13 reasons why Jesus, if he were here today, would be a witch. It lists the similarities between Christianity (when well lived) and Wicca:

Wicca is a Neopagan religion and a religious movement found in various countries throughout the world.
Because there is no centralised organisation in Wicca, and no single "orthodoxy", the beliefs and practices of Wiccans can vary substantially, both between individuals and between traditions. Typically, the main religious principles, ethics and ritual structures are shared, since they are key elements of traditional teachings and published works on the subject.
As practiced by Gerald Gardner and his followers, Wicca was and is a secretive and exclusive society of religious witchcraft, with entry to the society only gained through initiation by another Wiccan. However since the 1960s other, non-initiated people have adopted the term "Wicca" to describe their beliefs and practices, which vary from those of traditional, lineaged Wicca to a greater or lesser extent. These non-lineaged or "Eclectic" Wiccans now significantly outnumber lineaged Wiccans, and their beliefs and practices tend to be much more varied.
It is a choice to follow Wicca just as it is to follow a religion.
