If we can discover who reported us, we might contact them and apologize for offending them.

You can probably guess why I asked this question. - Harmony is what most of us share in common. Of course, I could be wrong.

I am on level 1, so I cannot give you a thumbs up of thanks, but I would if I could.

Honey, it's sweet that you genuinely care about offending someone. The truth is, there are some people out there that will just report you for some other reason that your having been offensive. Some of the sweetest people, that have never said an offensive thing have had their accounts deleted because of people falsely reporting them.

If you get reported a few times, please consider that it's just a kid who is trying to cause trouble and not that you've honestly offended someone. There will always be a few troublemakers. Trick is to ignore them and focus on the genuine people.

I have never been able to tell what time of day it was that I was reported. Some times I deserved it. Most of the time I did not. Only rarely does it deserve apologies. Would you apologize because you disagreed with someone? That is all it takes to be reported here; a different opinion. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out, in my case, the religion of the one reporting.

I do not spend enough of time here, so that has never been a problem to me.

I can see though that many people are having their account deleted due to abuse of the reporting system. Some of them do not seem to care if they get reported or not. They just make new accounts.

I was reported today for responding to a question about why muslims want their children uneducated. I said I thought it showed a lack of education on the part of the questioner. I cannot believe that my response would be taken out for saying that. My response was less offensive that the question. What kind of community guidelines allows that?

The day before yesterday, I received a violation notice for asking if I could wish everyone a lovely evening and a good night...

I received many lovely answers, but someone reported it :(

I re-posted again last night as a better question, that one's still on the board.

blessings :)

Like Red Queen I also received a violation notice today for a question I asked and was resolved over a month ago.

Yesterday I received a violation for a question I asked a month ago. I don't think time of day can help in this situation.

*Breakfast Monkey gave you an excellent answer.

I've gotten reported at all times of day, and never for actually insulting anybody, despite all the insults I give out everyday.

I don't know if I've ever been reported. Is the CIA watching?
