Gun part...I dunno.
Living like Jesus part....have you ever tried it?? Its sorta tough. People do the best they can. Try to be just like Him and come back in a week and let us know how you did.

Wow...what judgment. Only God has the right to judge.
Who said Jesus would not allow guns. He obviously wasn't
a vegetarian. A gun is just a tool, as are knives.
Wood and nails were used to kill the Christ, would you also
ban those. Or would you perhaps think more about education and love , rather than more government in our private lives.
When the government stops using guns, then maybe the citizens can stop. WE cannot live as Jesus lived unless we
can go back in time and live under that law and circumstance.
Would you like to have people publicly crucified without a fair trial ? I doubt you would really be comfortable living as Jesus, especially since no one really knows much about that for sure. I hope you realize that all the sacred books that we currently have access to have been both edited and translated from languages that are impossible to directly
translate. Even if you have access to and read the original
text, how do you know it is the real, unedited version ?
I would rather have Christians owning guns than just the criminals and government.
Just my take.

There is a time for everything...even to kill. We are given dominion over the animals. If we need to eat then we can kill and eat one. Sure we should live in love...but thats no reason not to have a gun. And what are you saying that everyone is a christian? People are sinful by nature and guns dont kill people...if you were to find a way to completely get rid of guns you would then have to get rid of swords, arrows, minerals, trees that make these things and then we would be cavemen or something. Get real. Religion has nothing to do with gun control.

Many politicians seem to think that crime can be fought through gun control rather than criminal control.
No matter where you come down on the issue of gun control, consider the following statistics. Only 1 percent of all guns purchased in America are ever used in the commmission of a crime. And of those 1 percent, 5 out of 6 were obtained illegally. At its best, any gun control bill is only going to affect a very small portion of the criminal element.

I don't think it is just Christians insisting on owning a gun,the problem is not the ones that own the gun but acting responsible and using it for the purpose it was meant for.For example ,a gun is very useful and humane way to kill seals when there is a over population of them .

yes, throwing rocks at somebody untill they die is a much more civil method of punishment.
what about personell defense?
VA tech was a tragity. but if 1 out of 10 people in that school has a gun. it would have stopped much sooner. and if all american citizens carried weapons then it would have never been more than 2 or 3 people.
if i see somebody shoot somebody, i am going to duck and cover. because in my state we do not have easy access to carry permits.
however if i had the right to carry a weapon and i saw somebody else get shot and could easily identify the shooter. then i would stop them.
as it is they just rampage untill they are out of ammo or the cops finally get there and stop them.
standard olice response time. 5 minutes. how many times can you pull a trigger in that time?

Are you a Christian? If not, why do you believe you know what is the way Christ would be? Many Christians would say Jesus would tell us to use whatever in defence of life. Some Christians do not believe this, but that is just their way of believing. It is always a joke to read where non-Christians try to tell Christians how Jesus would think.

Oh yeah then only criminals can have guns while they kill all the psychopaths who don't have one.
You just can't be a American and think like that, how brainwashed can people be?
Guns don't kill, people kill
I am a Child of God and NO I don't own a gun but your way of thinking is absurd and will probably get you killed one day.

Are you saying only psychopaths believe in the right to own a gun?
I don't think they had guns when Jesus was alive. Bet he had a sword.

My husband is a Christian and also a retired police officer. We own guns. Would Jesus have wanted my husband to do his job and not carry and own a gun?
