NO, dogs, decendants of coyotes, eat raw meat everyday to survive in wild. it's actually good to give your dog raw meat; it's what dogs crave... so go ahead and give him a steak tonight... he'll or she'll will give you a big kiss for that...

Feeding your dog raw meat is a waste of meat. Some dogs will pass it so fast it does them no good. Cats are different they are obligatory carnivores so raw meat is a treat and good for them. If you are getting your meat from a commercial source then worms are not a issue. If the meat is game then the worms depend on the way and cleanliness of the butchering. As most parasites are species specific the chance of them getting worms are so low it is not worth the effort it takes to argue with him. They are more likely to get worms from the bottom of your shoes than raw meat.

No that is an old wives tail. To get worms the eggs or larvae must be present in the meat or stool or where ever. They get worms from other dog's stool or the ground where other dogs have been.

I think it would depend on the quality of the meat. With all of the great dog food, check into some of the natural ones, why chance it.

Even human-grade meats can have infective stages of intestinal parasites within the fibers. Not only that, but it can cause Salmonella and E. coli poisoning in your pet, just like it could for you. Dogs may be descended from wild animals, but they do not have the same digestive tolerences as wild carnivores. Don't feed raw meat.
