A 351 Windsor or Cleveland (351C or 351 W) will get about 15 mpg average and the 428 Cobra Jet (also 427 & 429 ) will get about 10-12 depending on the amount of lead in your foot...

Back in the 60's you didn't really care. It was more how fast than how far. Those were some great times, The cars were wild and they flew. I guess they do now too, but it's still not the same. I guess you had to be there to appreciate them.
