I feeL thats a great question. I was an official for another racing sanction, and they prohibited a driver to be in any class lower than the one they are racing for the championchip for.

I think that should be the rule in NASCAR.With the cars having different weights, wheelbases, and engines they really do not get that much info .

I think they should be able, because the Busch series is not as competitive as the Nextel Cup series, but with the Nextel Cup drivers make it more of a competition. It gives the Nextel Cup drivers extra practice. It also helps the Busch drivers that want to race in the Nextel Cup get use to the guys and the way the Nextel Cup drivers race. The only thing is I dont think they should be able to get as many points as the Busch drivers. They should have a limit on how many points they can get per race, becuase the Busch series is not what the Nextel guys are really worried or focused on ,but it is what matters to the Busch drivers.

V....That's why I don't watch NHRA. It's all one person ( Force)and all they do is go in a straight line and they can't even trade paint without being disqualified for crossing that sissy little center line. It's all over in 6 seconds! Damn..I blinked and missed the whole race! OR I went to get a hotdog and the race was over. No the Nextel guys should not be racing in Busch because they are taking money from the poor Busch guys that are struggling to feed there families and advance into Nextel Cup. There is no other sport out there that allows you to go back to the lower level once you have been advanced.

no---i really do know they need the practice and knowledge they receive the day before the big race but its just not fair to the busch series drivers who are on an intirely different level than the nextel drivers.and so i feel this takes away from the busch drivers , how do the nextel drivers like it when a busch driver comes to their series and spins out or causes them a problem? they say go back to your little series untill you learn how to drive with the big dogs.

Yes, I think its okay. Guess I don't know which way to go. Busch series to me is like the minor league in Baseball and Nextel cup drivers are like in the major league. They need to give the guys that aren't experienced a chance I feel.

That's a tough question because if say No Cup drivers in Busch,
What if a Cup driver is starting his own racing team in Busch and can't afford to pay a full time driver. He should be allowed to drive his own team car.
But at the same time it's not fair to the Busch regulars, that 7 of the top 10 positions and $ go to big name Cup teams (Roush, Hendricks & RCR).
I heard that NASCAR is going to totally redo the Busch series in a couple of years, use smaller cars (Mustang, Camaro and Dodge Challenger)so Cup teams won't use Sat. race to help them on Sun. They think by doing this that it will cut down on the number of Cup teams competing in the Busch series.

No cup driver should not be driving in the Busch series. This like the minor league of NASCAR Cup series and this is where you train the drivers who wants to be in Cup series. And Cup drivers should not use the Busch series as their practice run, that's why they have the practice run before and after qualifying.

Yes. There would be no Busch series with out Cup drivers. It is important for the series for monetary reasons. Fewer people would watch it, so fewer sponsors would be involved, no TV broadcast, and the quality of racing would deplete. Also, the up-and-comers need the experience against the best. And, that could be the Cup drivers. Cup drivers have always ran in the Busch series, since it became the Busch Series in 1982. Mark Martin, Dale Earnhardt Sr, all the big names. However, they weren't all doing it every week. I think that there should be a cap of 10-15 Cup drivers allowed in each race. That way you don't have 28 out of 43 drivers Cup regulars. It would get the money, get the viewership, provide great racing AND help the up-and-comers learn.

Yes, I do.

The Busch series is a developmental series for Cup.

Many team owners who wish to advance to Cup often begin to develop their whole team, driver and concept in Busch.

Many of the Cup drivers who own Busch teams hope one day to bring that team into Cup. By allowing Cup drivers to compete gives all the teams a yardstick with which to accurately measure their progress.

I know that I find part of the allure of Busch racing is tuning in each week to see which Busch regular has what it takes to compete with the best.

The desire to compete against the best is big motivation.

What college basketball player wouldn't want to compete on the same floor against an NBA team?

Any athlete, who loves his sport, loves competition, wants to improve and truly discover his limitations wouldn't complain about the competition being too tough!

If a Busch driver complains about getting beat by 5 or 6 Cup drivers and I was a team owner wanting to bring that driver into Cup, I would be compelled to ask him, "How do you think it would feel to lose to 41 of them?

Then I would start looking for a driver.

Frankly, i think of that's hurting the Busch sequence. Even final night with the Cup sequence and Busch sequence racing on a similar music, the Busch sequence purely had 40 3 vehicles take place. this is a much cry from the extensive type we could desire to continually be seeing. that's all because of the initiate communities not desirous to return to the music to get sent living house because of the fact of a set with a Cup motive force. i think of that NASCAR could desire to cut back the form of Busch races a Cup motive force can run and probably even cut back it to the Cup drivers exterior of the suited 20 in factors.
