There is no way to know. It may not shorten your life at all..... some strokes are very mild, and you almost cant tell someone had one.

I had a stroke almost 3 years ago. I am better than ever. No muscle pain or weakness. I now drink 2-3 gallons of water daily. I also take 2 tbls. of heinz apple cider vinegar in a glass of water before a meal for its 93 vitamins and minerals. When I first got out of the hospital, I had to learn to walk and use my right arm again, which took about 2 months. I was back wearing my high heels again . None I hope! I have had 2 due to an autoimmune disease. I suffer occasional TIAs, and am on warfarin for life, but hope to live a full life.I'm 50. looking forward to many more years!
