Exactly!!! Evolution is so wrong. It is only proven by science. Science has been wrong and will always at times be wrong. The Bible never has or will fail!!!! It is the only truth we have. But evolution is exactly how you describe it there. Good points there!!!

Darling', evolution is real, there isn't really an option to believe in it or not. What people misinterpret and misunderstand is that though the study of biology, all living things have similar blue prints for their makeup, so there are similarities between living things, but there are still things that make all living things different. You are a person and a sunflower is a flower, but the basic makeup of you and the sunflower are the same. Same goes for primates and soybean plants. It's okay to be a Christian, believe in the divinity of Jesus, and appreciate and recognise that God doesn't mind people studying His work and understanding the world we live in.

Do you understand what evolution is?

I will type this very slowly because I can tell you're not that bright.

Evolution is about passing on information to the next generation, much like your parents have told you about god and, as with the god thing, some of it is right and some of it is wrong, hence you have genetic differences. It doesn't make the life form better as it ages!

Now get out of the stone age and try not to believe a book that isn't very good in the first place.

I have to say I believe in creation and some level of evolution. But cannot make the big jump to believing in evolution fully yet.

what i believe:

If I created a woman - 6 months pregnant - this second and therefore she did not exist 2 seconds ago. I being her creator have to put a history into the body and they would have the look of how they look today. ie she would have hair that took a month to grow and it would be bleached by the sun but you actually never been in the sun, the baby could have genitic illnesses and even evidence of poor nutition even though the baby has no history and never been feed through mother.
If I created a tree in this second it would have rings for each year of growth but you can see I put these rings in within that second of creation. Later on you can count the rings and assume it is 6000 years old but in reality it is one second old.
This I believe is happening in creation, science is steadily counting the growth rings of something that was made in a short time. Science reads millions of years but this is the created time by the creator. This time I believe is 6000 years or so.

Still open to evolution though.

Your claiming evolution is false based on the fact we suffer the same fate as every other animal on the planet ?

That is a new one

We eat - we must consume to live - In this way we live off death just as any other animal

A cow eats grass the grass dies as a result the cow lives

We breed the same way as animals do - although the msionary position may be unique to animals the act of copulation is shared

We have emotions and instincts - Maternal bonding for instance - that is instinctual

Animals have emotions as we do ....all you have to do is see the reaction of a dog after it's gotten into the garbage and his owner comes home - The dog hasn't been caught yet but it sure feels and displays the guilt - They feel a wide varity of emotions

Geese mate for life -

Monkeys and other primates use tools - yes they are crude )

Animals as we did hunt for survival

All animals suffer from age and all animals die

Evolution says that we have changed form as animals but we are indeed animals - just smart ones

The changes in DNA from what sceintists call the mico condrial Eve are documented and move along geographical lines

There may be a supreme god there may be a number of gods there may be a spirits There may be life after death -

But the christian story of creation is completely impossible

The existence of spirits god or gods does not in any way suggest evolution is false

But the stories of the bible are a record of the thoughts of primitive man and his attempt to explain the world around them

It wasn't that long ago (400 yrs) that christians thought saten was responsible for soured milk and crop failure

I am really sorry - I feel like I was the first one to tell you Santa Claus isn't real

Sounds like you haven't thought much about your argument.

Evolution says things get better as time goes on? Not sure where you get that.
And what does God say? That he created man in his image. With inherent flaws and defects? To get sick and ultimately to age and die? Does this mean that god is false?

Evolution says that the physical traits that are most viable for survival will eventually be the ones that are most predominant in any given species. Your "things getter better as time goes on" is an over-simplification that says very little about the nature of evolution at all. And your interpretation of your aging grandmother is irrelevant. The characteristics that will be the most prevailent in any species are those that ensure the survival of the species in general. Living forever would not allow our race to adapt to ecological change, so death and rebirth is vital.

I see no reason to not have faith in both evolution and God - I don't see why they are mutually exclusive. The Bible says that God created man, but I'm sure it is symbolic of mankind's purpose on earth, and needn't be taken literally. Perhaps it is to suggest that man was here but God gave him conscience and implanted a greater sense of value in him. I don't see how the Bible could be taken as a completely literal text, rather than as a guide and simple basis of belief which lets face it, really means BE GOOD TO EACH OTHER, for heaven's sake!

Christiananity is SO false its not even funny. Religion was setup purely for control of society way back when. Didn't you pay attention in Global History?

I'll give you the benifit of the doubt: God is a nice thought & something to fall back on when times get rough & that is SUCH a good thing mentally let alone physically. But in reality sweety, it's not happening. One "guy" -or whatever you wanna call "it"- cannon't determine the faith of someone in the future years from now. It is just not scientifically proven.

just because it was taught for years doesnt necesserally mean its true.

Your mom is aging. As Evoloution states "things getting better as time goes on" when they say this it is listed NOT counting the pollution, wastes + UNNATRUAL things going on the the world.

UNNATURALIES is purely the root of all this going on. (cell phones, technologly, gasoline , etc..)

PS. maybe you should study the anatomy of a flower to better understand your "why do flowers die? question =]

i understand your point but in reality.. it doesnt fit in to place.

firstly, i have to say you havent really researched your argument, and your understanding of the evolution theory is flawed at best.

But the reason you should believe evolution is because it is established fact that cannot be denied unless you want to cram your fingers in your ears and go 'lalala i cant hear it'

there are scientific and archeological finds that pre-date our race, which show that intelligent humans in their present form hvent been around very long, and before that they came from a previous race, which has been confirmed through DNA study.

Your grandmother gets wrinkles as the body requires the tightnes of the skin less at that time in her life, she cant live forever or the world would be overcrowded and the entire population would suffer from the lack of resources and foos and water etc

I believe in evolution.
It's obvious that you don't understand what it actually means because it doesn't have anything to do with not getting wrinkles as you get older.
Also just because Christianity may be the "real deal" in your opinion, doesn't mean it "obviously" is for everyone.

God created the animals and plants so they could change a little with each generation because the earth would always be changing. We call these changes evolution, and atheists lie when they say evolution is an alternative to God's creation.
God/Jesus created evolution because He loves us and wants people to be able to handle a changing world..

Although I am a liberal christian,I am a devout Christian and I do believe that Evolution exsists. I think of it as how God created the Universe, like the way he decided to create us. Yet it will be a long long long time before solid evidence is found on how life began on earth. Just remember the living cell is an amazing machine that is prone to change because God made it that way.
