Im 11 almost 12 and my mom said i was to young to have a boyfriend but my bffs all have one and it would be fun to double date.

Of course it would be fun to date!
And why not?
But a boyfriend?
That would mean commitment on both of your parts.
Commitment is a really big deal even for adults and something that should really be thought about seriously.
Do you want to be serious?
Or do you want to be a 12 year old having fun with her mates?
Common sense says that you'd rather be hanging with your mates.
Do yourself a favor and wait till you are at least a teenager because you'll learn a lot in the next year.

Hell yeah you are too young. At 11 years old your biggest concerns should be your school work and whether or not to have Lucky Charms or Cocoa Puffs for breakfast.
Don't be in a hurry to grow up, because once you do you will spend the rest of your life remembering how great it was to be a kid.

I agree with your mom on this one. Wait till at least you are 14 or 15. How old are these guys you want as bf's ? Under the age of 18 you have to abide by the curfew and be in by 10:30pm.

well im 14 and my first bf was when i was 9 it wasnt really a relationship, mostly friends. but i had a real relationship at 12 but im very mature for my age everyone tells me that. i think u should just talk to ur mom and tell her u want to double date with ur friends maybe that will help

yeah you are too young. trust me, im not supposed to date til im 16 and im 14 now and i date bc i couldnt wait and it really distracts from school... and the guy can be annoying or a hassle... and especially guys that are 12 arent mature enough to handle a girlfriend, so if you did date it most likely wouldnt work out. I would wait if i were you.

i say no i had my first girlfriend at in 5th grade i was 10 just don't do anything u r not ready for and i don't think any 11/12 year old is ready for sex but if you r just going out to the movies and stuff like that i think it is fine

I'd agree with mom on this one. the term "boyfriend" carries some serious tones to it for adults. But I'm sure if you had a friend that was also a boy it would be okay.

I wouldn't say your too young to have a bf.. your my sisters age and she's had a bf.
But your too young to go on dates, just wait till your a little older. Time flys, trust me..

Agreed, You dont know yourself yet, you probally only just recently gained the ability to feel these things. Give it time and be a kid while you still have the chance to.

if you like someone then yeah go for it. but just dont take it to seriously. all my friends hav bf and im almost the same age as you. but dont just do it so you can double. do it because you really like this person
