It can pop your tires if the sidewalls are thin, or it could scrub the lettering off your tire making it unbalanced. It can also sometimes cause the tread to seperate from the side wall, making it a blowout waiting to happen. Try no to rub the curb, but if you do just simply check your tires for cuts, scrapes, or leaks. If you notice any have it checked by a garage.

The speed, tire inflation pressure, gross vehicle weight (including passengers, gas, accessories, cargo etc.), height of the curb and remaining tread depth will decide the nature of damage. Sometimes you may not see any damage on the outside of the tire but cords inside may break due to impact - weakeing the anatomy (carcass/body) of the tire.

OUCH! Not recommended,

I once had new tires put on, the daughter who was learning to drive, whacked a curb.
It cut the tire down to the cord. With less than 5 miles on it, the tire had to be replaced.if the cord shows,it's illegal.
SOB!!!!!!

I asked my husband your question. His reply was it will eventually throw out the alignment of the front end of the car.
It is probably better to park further away from the curb. Are you afraid that someone will hit your car?

Doesn't matter if its an accident or not, it will still ruin the tires. The sidewalls of the tires are thinner material than the tread, so they will get scraped up easier and eventually will rub a hole in the sidewall of the tire.

Yes, the sidewalls on your tires are not as strong as the treads which could lead to an air leak.. Also, you can break the bead on the rim doing this, and then you will have a flat tire.

If you're driving up onto the curb a lot, please surrender your license and get some more training. You are not a safe driver if you are regularly hitting the curb.

And yes, it will fook up your tires pretty quickly.

On normal cars they do get damaged, this is the only really good reason for giving women 4 wheel drive all terrain vehicles to use even downtown.

rent a car for a day and learn how to properly park.

rent one so you dont damage yours

if this is a fear you have, it will haunt you every time you park, and the only way to get rid of it is to face it and learn how to handle a car. this might actually help other drivers too.
