I agree with the water. Drink a glass full of water 30 minutes before you eat. It will curb your appetite. Also, ice water burns calories. Do not eat anything for 3 hours before you go to bed. When you walk for exercise, hold your stomach in as much as comfortable. If you have a bar that you can hang from, pull both your legs up at a 45 degree angle with your body (in an L shape) and hold as long as you can. Do this several times, but work up to more and more. Don't hurt yourself. Great for abs! If you have dumb bell type weights or something that will roll like that, get on the floor on all fours, with your hands on your "roller" and roll it out away from you as far as you can, then pull it back. This is good for those love handles on your back as well as your abs. I know you don't want to hear it, but don't stress too much. Not so much because "he ought to accept you the way you are" but more because stress causes problems in digesting, and can cause you to GAIN weight. Good Luck Also, don't starve yourself, it will make you gain more weight back because it slows down your metabolism. When you eat, eat just what makes you full, then STOP. Don't eat everything on your plate if you're full. That stretches your stomach to be able to hold more and more everytime you eat. Only eat if you're hungry. Don't snack just to be munching on something or because you're watching TV. Enjoying what you eat is great, but don't enjoy eating in itself. Think of eating as a way of sustaining life, not entertaiment, and it becomes easier to control your eating habits.

Everyone's metabolism is different and what works for one may not work for you. Eating mostly protein - eggs, fish, chicken, cheese, and lean meats have worked to my advantage, but you must also eat vegetables, fruits in moderation and have some oil - like a good light olive oil and vinegar for salads. Drink a lot of water, at least eight glasses a day. My physician says to eat six times a day - in small portions. Do exercises to firm up the areas you feel need help with - do aerobics and jazzercise or some things to speed up your metabolism. It is important to warm up before beginning any exercise program.
I agree with the others that down the road you may realize doing it for someone else really wasn't that important - but regardless it is here and now. If you accomplish losing the 5 pounds or even 3, you will be proud of yourself, but you'll still be the same person that guy likes right now. Good luck.

If all you want to do is tone stuff then you can't be that bad. But since you want to. I would say do some jogging until you sweat. Sweat is not gross, it's proof that whatever you're doing is working. That burns alot of calories. At this time you will need calories for engergies so don't hit starches because they're easy. Eat some protien and veggies. and drink lots of WATER! If you drink coffee (Starbucks mochas, lattes, etc.) then stop for a while. It's hard, i know, but they are really fattening even with low fat milk. Good luck!

When I was working out with a trainer, the best tip he gave me was to drink 8oz of water daily per 10 pounds of body weight. So if you were 140 lbs, you would drink 14 servings at 8 oz each, 130 lbs, 13 servings, and so on. I lost a lot of weight doing this. Good luck and if all else fails, spend hours in the dressing room trying on suits!

What you should do is eat salads(with only 1oz of dressing),fruits and healthy stuff. You should cut out sodas until then and replace them with water, tea and milk!!! Homemade greentea speeds up your matabalism and causes you to not gain weight as easily!!!! Also go play sports with your friends......or at school start a game of volleyball or basketball(some sport you enjoy) or even just run around and have fun!!!! Its alot funner to be with your freinds than in the gym!!!!! Also you and a friend could have a contest of who looses the most weight.....(but if anyone skips a meal they cheat and are out of the contest)

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

Eat about 1500 calories a day and do: v-ups, crunches, sit-ups, lunges, and also maybe check out a exercise website or something like that. Exerice every day, doing things that you like, don`t make your self run a mile if you do not like to run!!! Also, don`t eat past 6!!!!! You will not believe how much weight people gain by eating at night!!!!!!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!
