I'm not a fan of confectioners sugar frosting recipes. I love Pillsbury canned vanilla frosting but want to make something similar myself. Would appreciate any recipes!

Start with 2 tbsp softened butter
Add 2 cups icing sugar and a sprinkle of salt
mix vigorously with a fork
Add 1 tbsp milk and if you need more be very careful as liquid makes the icing too thin
Mix again add more icing sugar if you want thickness.
If you want a chocolate icing use 1 tbsp dry cocoa powder mix with fork again.
This is a thick creamy icing.

Sorryyyy
Frosting is butter and sugar (powdered) with flavoring.
In this case it would be vanilla . . .
However , as I have never before met anyone who actually likes canned frosting , and even more confusing , is adverse the the main frosting ingredient (powdered sugar) . . .
I am at a loss . . .
'scuse me , have to go call all the friends and tell them this one . . .

MOST ICINGS DO CONTAIN ICING SUGAR.......BUT IT DEPENDS ON HOW LONG YOU WHIP IT FOR THAT WILL ULTIMATELY ALTER THE TASTE. YOU CAN USE SHORTENING HALF AND HALF WITH BUTTER WITH SOME VANILLA FLAVOURING. THEN ADD THE ICING SUGAR BEAT UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY, YOU CAN ALSO ADD SOME NUTRIPWHIP TO THE MIX TO LIGHTEN UP THE FLAVOR. GOOD LUCK!!
