Is the nostril really painful? How about naval?

Anything done with an 6g needle and a hook. Most 'normal' piercings don't hurt much and are over in 30 seconds. Don't worry about it.

I've had a few piercings so ill list in order of least to most painful but remember everyones pain threshold is different.
1. Ear lobes
2. Navel
3. Upper ear cartilage
4. Nostril
5. Conch (ear cartilage)
Remember the pain is only for a split second and it is so worth it in the end.

I'd have to say naval is more painful to the average person. Nostril doesnt really hurt.

I have had over 20 piercings in my 21 years of life, including several in my ear lobes and cartilage, my tongue, my hood (or clit as most people call it), my belly button, and several other places.
Personally, the most painful ones I have ever had done is my tongue and an industrial (one bar, two holes, in the upper ear).
My belly button was actually one of the least painful ones I have ever had done.
As long as your take care of piercings and clean them properly, they usually don't give you any problems. I've had a few friends who have had infected ones and they were disgusting! My ex had his lips infected. It looked like something was growing on his lips - gross!

The nose can be a bit painful--it does bring tears to your eyes, unlike ear piercings. ANYTHING below the waist is seriously painful, believe me.

Me, as well as my piercer, have almost everything pierced. For me, my nose was the most painful, I nearly cried. She said her nose hurt the most too. Second most painful was definitely my woman parts. The least painful was my tongue webbing.
