find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

A few of my friends went to the trainer to lose weight, basically with regular exercises (in the gym, or swimming is good too), plus appropriate diet (No/less carb, sugar, pop, etc.). You can try it gradually, like doing exercise once a week, have less carb food, and increase according to your own ability. Losing weight is all about your determination, whether you can insist or not.

Speaking from personal experience I tried all the gimicks and diets, they dont work. Here is the simple answer which finally shed my weight, but probably not what you want to hear.

Avoid processed foods, which is anything that is packaged. Eat mostly raw fruits and veggies. Don't drink much milk. Work out A LOT. I work out 2-3 hours 5-6 days a week. This does work and I regret that it took me soooo long to figure it out.

1. excersize 30 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week. Try situps pushups and pullups. then, even when your casually at home, do something like hide the remote so you have to get up to change the channel. also try making a new routine to jog or run for amile or two, then move it up to three or four miles.
2. eat all of the food groups everyday and 6-11 servings of bread, 2-4 of fruits, 3-5 of vegetables, 2-3 of dairy and meat and then of course hardly never eat oils.
hope this helps: notify me !!!!!!!!

Do some research on the internet about target heart rates and follow those exercise guidelines.
Cut out the fast food, soda, and crappy carbs. Eat veggies and drink lots of water.
