Of course it's not old you can carry on living a fun life AND being a nanna if you start feeling old you'll start acting old and then it will take over your life. You say you have 3 grown up children, sorry, children never grow up and you are someones child so go for it and enjoy it while you can.
I work 7 days a week ,have 3 children and 4 grandchildren, I go dancing fishing and love a good night out I bought my 1st computer 6 months ago and love it and I'm 60 years young !

Hi patty, I was 51 last year and I have no intention to stop having fun! I have 2 children and 2 grandkids, and now work full time. I enjoy life to the full, I`m a wife, a mother and a nan, but most of all I`m ME. The first place I go to when I want some new clothes is New Look. Have everything if you can, `cos once you get past 50 life`s getting shorter, and it`s way too short as it is.

your never to old to keep having fun, so long as you feel up to it why not. 50 isn't old these days its not like to was years ago. My mother is 52 and you would think she was 72 the way she goes on its a great age as your kids are off your hands and you can pretty much do as you please and think about yourself for a change.
Enjoy it and if you feel young act it, obviously I wouldn't go to far and start dressing like a 25 year old (unless you have the body of a 25 year old) but carry on having fun.
I'm only 27 but when I get to my early forties and fifties as my daughter will be all grown up then I see that as my time to get my life back and enjoy myself even if I'm a nanna at that age I still would as remember your grand kids are your kids kids not yours so you have the pleasure of enjoying them when it suits you not when its suits them.

You don't have to stop having fun because you have grandchildren!! I'm 60 and I still have fun although I have a big problem with mobility (I walk with a stick). My stick comes in so useful. It gets down things for me when the shelf is too high. And the fun I have with that is a real laugh. I take more notice of people and things they do. People are funny and they do some funny things. I stick my tongue out at kids when the parents aren't looking. Try it!! You should see the kids faces!!!

No, it's not old. It's far too young to "just be nanna". My mom was 70 they year she died, and not only was she NOT "just" grandma, she worked 40 hours a week, volunteered 30 hours a week and from January 1 to July 13 (the day she had the stroke that killed her) she put 60,000 (yes that is Sixty THOUSAND) miles on her car.
Keep moving, nanna, that's what keeps you young!
**these are all GREAT answers, who is the idiot giving everyone the "thumbs down"????
