If He hadn't, then you'd have no question to ask. HA HA
You're not very smart, are you? Well why don't you ask waichinliu she seems to have all the answers, and she knew cho-cho personally so she could tell you how they stopped God from being there to stop anything.

Nor can we doubt that God does well even in the permission of what is evil. For He permits it only in the justice of His judgment. And surely all that is just is good. Although, therefore, evil, in so far as it is evil, is not a good; yet the fact that evil as well as good exists, is a good. For if it were not a good that evil should exist, its existence would not be permitted by the omnipotent God, who without doubt can as easily refuse to permit what He does not wish, as bring about what He does wish. And if we do not believe this, the very first sentence of our creed is endangered, wherein we profess to believe in God the Father Almighty. For He is not truly called Almighty if He cannot do whatsoever He pleases, or if the power of His almighty will is hindered by the will of any creature whatsoever.

From the Enchiridion, St. Augustine, AD 421

Read the writings of St. Augustine on the often asked questions of “How can a good God allow such an evil event?” Apply it to any recent evil event such as 911, Columbine, Virginia Tech, the 5 year old girl killed in a car accident. Some thoughts to keep in mind as you ponder these deep things of life. By definition, God has complete control over all events in this world. While God is never the cause of evil, it does exist and therefore by permitting it, He allows it or wills it (Permissive Will). There are many records in the Bible in which God uses the evil hearts of men to accomplish some overall good, such as Job. And finally, if all men have sinned against God, even the smallest of children, “I’ll not do it daddy”, there is no such thing as an innocent 5 year old girl that was killed in a car crash. I in no way profess to know why God allows specific things to happen, I do have faith that whatever He allows, is for the very best and this is the essence of faith.

We are all lying in the power of the wicked one.(1 John 5:19) (Satan) so if God was to step in and stop something from happening, he would only be helping Satan. This is mans time to try it on there own. God will one day rule the earth and then and only then will things like this not happen.

The event was preceded by God giving man free will. At risk of being politically incorrect, God is not an Indian-Giver.
In the meantime, God halted the carnage at 33.
(Think about THOSE implications!)

I don't know if God can provide an answer for this tragedy. I wish people would quit mixing religion with the tragic events that go on in our world. Please show some respect to those who follow a religious belief as well as those who don't believe in a higher power.

God didn't allow it. And it happened. You see god is powerless.
If you assume god only exists in the mind then all facts are explained and you will see why god has no effect on those who arent brainwashed.

It must have been part of his grand plan!

Isn't that what Christians say everything happens for a reason. And God is in control!

This God is really screwy!

That is not the right question.....

Question is..... Why did this man do this?......

You are blaming God for something this man has done... Don't we all know that....?

It's like saying, "The devil made me do it"... when we know that it is the actions of a few evil characters who seek to place blame on something that really didn't do it......

Can the preacher's wife, blame the devil for killing him?... It was, after all, by her hand.........

God isn't answerable to every mortal evil. Why isn't your question more pointed at the Devil? This wasn't God's doing it was the Devils!!!!!

The truth is, of course, that there are no gods in reality. If we want to do something towards eliminating such tragedies in future then we only have ourselves to rely on.
