God bless you. You have got it right and you are one of the few. The Bible calls these times we live in "the last days," and everything that I see in the statistics from crime to Bible-believing Christian teens falling into the single didgits, there is no doubt in the Bible's prophesy. The truth is, as you've said, none of this is worth it if we only live to die. We all must die; no one has escaped death. When atheists or any godless person is in their final moments, does their anti-God lifestyle fulfill them? Does it heal them? Does it bring peace and certainty? Of course not. You can sell your soul and gain great riches, power, sex, and glory on earth and "live it up" while it lasts, but there will be a payday, someday. I believe C.S. Lewis said something to the affect of, "Anything that is not eternal is eternally useless." Amen. Keep your faith up and don't let the powers and principalities of this world shake you!

I AGREE TOTALLY. This earth, the humans were not put here for nothing we all have a purpose. It's only because of our sinful nature and seeing life the way we see it everyday that makes some people not want anything better or better yet I think they are afraid to want some meaning to life, afraid to want something better therefore they think it would just be easier to ignore the issues at hand. Maybe because they don't want to be disappointed in the end.But all I know is if we trust and have faith in God we will never be disappointed. And this so-called life we have today is nothing compared to the real life God can give us.

That's why God is our strong tower, we seek refuge in his name, When people stop walking in the flesh and walk in the spirit they will slowly see what it is God is trying to fulfill through them. He wants us to reach our destiny by reaching our full potential within him. Whether that means doing for others or loving people unconditionally, we have it all messed up once we obtain the 9 graces we will be like Jesus, And understand the true happiness we are engulfed in. We can praise the Lord and we were made higher than the angels.

I find pleasure in getting up in the morning, exercise, writing, listening to good music, reading good books, learning things, talking to friends and family and helping others. If there is a purpose to life, I think it's to enjoy it while we're here. The joy of life is in the little things-and those things make it worthwhile.

There is always a point to everything....or it simply wouldn't exist. God is involved in everything . Your trying to find him as a reason or as a cause...He is neither he is just IS. Not going to preach to you, everyone has a choice in life and what to do with it. But how do you know there is no eternity. Isn't that the heaven we acquire to be in xx

Based on your bible this God predestined those who are believers to being that! Ephesians 1:4 - 5 So where does that mean you ever had a choice?
Sound to me like you are a puppet to this God!

You wrongfully assume that existence needs a purpose.
It doesn't.
This makes some people feel empty, so they created religions, and the idea of god. Purpose is to adults as a nightlight is to children.

God bless you for not being ashamed to teach the truth. Jesus said, "if anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels." [mark8:38]
the meaning of live is to praise him. for he also said, "let everything that has breath praise the LORD. praise the LORD." [psalm150:6] ... and he said that if we dont, the rocks will call out praises...
all else is worthless without the love of God. for it is only when we seek God thatll we find happiness...[psalm 37:4] "delight youself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart."
God bless you.
&keep the word alive!

Christianity has obviously convinced you that nothing is of worth unless it is eternal.
I find this frightening.
It allows you to place very little worth on the life you have now, in favor of appeasing a god (whose existence you can't possibly prove) so that you have an eternal, blissful afterlife (whose existence you can't possibly prove).
Reality teaches us that we value things that WON'T last forever... pets, your loved ones, children, the beer in front of you, etc. etc.
...it's the same as your life. That's why there's a point to everything. The concept of "eternal life" was birthed from the womb of humanity's fear of its own mortality.
You're going to die.
I'm going to die.
Deal with it. Accept it.

>Whatever god does, he does with a purpose
What is god's purpose for earthquakes that obliterate villages, wherein infants die slowly of thirst while their mother's lie trapped under rubble a few feet away?
What is god's purpose for making wild animals get sick? They never sinned, they can't express suffering in any human sense of the word, and nobody will ever know about it.
What is god's purpose for creating different 60 species of slime mold and limiting them to a single chain of islands in the Pacific?
What is god's purpose for creating vestigial eye sockets in blind cave fish?
If your god's actions are indicative of purpose, then he is an insane, sadistic three year old child with a sick sense of humor.
