This is a small step in the right direction.
Catholics believe that from the moment of conception until natural death, each human being is endowed by God with dignity and rights.
You shall not kill. (Ex 20:13; cf. Deut 5:17)
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you. (Jer 1:5; cf. Job 10:8-12; Ps 22:10-11)
My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately wrought in the depths of the earth. (Ps 139:15)
Early Church writings: You shall not kill the embryo by abortion and shall not cause the newborn to perish. (Didache 2, 2: SCh 248, 148; cf. Ep. Barnabae 19, 5: PG 2, 777; Ad Diognetum 5, 6: PG 2, 1173; Tertullian, Apol. 9: PL 1, 319-320)
With love in Christ.

partial birth between what 3-6 months old?! yeah i celebrate that it's illegal. my friend gave birth at 5 months - her son is healthy and wonderful.
as for the hydroencephlytus (sorry on the spelling) yeah what about it?! my cousin was born with it and lived to a ripe age of 39 and had a wonderful time doing so. sure i doubt he enjoyed thepart where he was in pain but he was loved and went all over the place - he lived a very productive and good life and brought a lot of happiness to others.
on that note also - my friend, preggers with her first was told there was a 70% chance that her child would have it - we talked. she decided to continue with the pregnancy - what ever God decided was fine with her.... he is now 12.5 and as healthy as any child his age - if not healthier!

YEE HAW!!! It will only be a little while longer before you can legislate your beleifs on ALL women and abortions!! You must be proud...
If there was no medical value to the procedure, then why does it exist? Now, try looking up hydroencephalytus and maybe you might larn something today. Probably not, but maybe...

I will celebrate when all in-vitro infanticide is illegal and the laws vigorously enforced,by which I mean mandatory life without parole in a supermax. I'm not at all impressed with the Urban American's Orwellian concept of "progress".

Absolutely! Thank God for that small step towards outlawing murder of innocent babies. The feminists in Women's Studies are throwing a fit. How can anyone defend murder?

Abortion is not murder. A fetus is not considered a human life.
If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life. -- Exodus 21:22-23
The Bible places no value on fetuses or infants less than one month old.
And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver. -- Leviticus 27:6
Fetuses and infants less than one month old are not considered persons.
Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them. And Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD. -- Numbers 3:15-16

"Catholics and Christians" is redundant. The correct phrase is "Catholics and other Christians", or "Catholics and Protestants".

I don't celebrate today's decision and thank you for your judgment. By your own religion you shall now burn in the fiery lake of hell for eternity.
