It probably depends on the type of gift card and/or the store you're buying it at. I know I have charged them before.

Depends on the store policy. However, be cautious when using a credit card to purchase gift cards. Some Visa and MasterCards may treat the gift card purchase as a cash advance.

If you were told gift card purchases must be in cash, you can't buy them at that location with a credit card. Many places will allow you to buy gift cards with a credit card, but they don't have to.

It varies by store policy. At my store, we will allow prepaid card purchases (gift or phone cards) on credit up to $24.99. If the card is $25 or more, it must be cash or debit card.

It could depend on where you're buying the gift card. I know that I've been able to buy gfit cards at Future Shop (in Canada, owned by Best Buy) and Eddie Bauer (again, in Canada) and pay by credit card.

Of course you can, people use their credit cards to pay off other credit cards, I wouldn't suggest doing that but it is being done.
