Wars and battle are a minor cause of death.
God's diseases have been the real killers. The influenza pandemic of 1918-1919 killed more people than World War I. The Black Death killed up to two-thirds of Europe's population - an estimated 75 million people. Those are just the two famous ones.

Agree with you that religion can be a major source of conflict. Don't know about the total body count, it seems that recently, sectarian strife may outnumber the dead from religious wars.
Do you have any data to back that up?

OJ,
Do you not realize that we live in a world filled with some true nuts!!!???
These wicked people, and alot of them, are by nature, loving the wickedness that they display upon, not only men, but other creatures of this world....... Even the land and the sea... the water and the evironment........
How do we live with this?
We can't.... and so an end must come.... even to them.... even to us... so that when we are come back... They will be weeded out........
They are not so hard to find..... but they must go..... We were all brought up in this time for a reason.... and we witness to them..
Your sister,
Ginger

not even close-disease kills FAR more people than all wars combined have, and 'religious wars' tally up a small fraction of war deaths-look at the bloodiest wars in history-no religious cause at all...you're just mindlessly passing on one of the most laughable atheist myths of all time-gee...and i thought atheist were supposed to be the intelligent and logical ones...

thats just an assumption ... religeon and beleif in God has always been around but most wars and death are about power control and money ... and horrific acts have been commited in a non religeous atheistic political environment also ...

I doubt you have studied history in any depth. Your question makes that patently obvious.
Stop regurgitating what you read here and on the internet. Think for yourself. Get serious, go to college, study with some professors who have made a career in historical studies.
Then we will talk.

WW II, Hitler and Japan vs the world. And a nation of Christians lost 295,000 servicemen to defeat them and protect your right to talk so stupid. Often I think it was not worth it.
but then you are what now? 14 or 15

If you read about historical statistics, getting old is the leading cause of death.
It's just fairly boring, so most people wrote about wars.

Trolling for heated responses? Not going to find it here. Maybe you could cite that great history book that says this, however.
Not likely.

They are simply looking for the wrong God. The one who saves is Jesus Christ. He died for our sins, was burried, and after 3 days in the tomb, rose again and lives in Heaven waiting for all who accept Him.
He died for you-Wont you LIVE for Him?
