show the picture of the particular haircut u like to the person cutting your hair & ask if they can do the same or similar style on yours...i`m just guessing, but probably multiple styling products are used as well...mousse, gel, wax, paste, spray, whatever...

Most asian people have straight, fine textured hair. It is hard to achieve this styles if you have thick or coarse hair, but it is possible. Being a cosmetologist I get many clients looking for the same do's. Many can be achieve by razor cutting. This will give the hair a thin textured look(it works best on fine to medium hair) Also you will want to flat iron it and follow up with a shine product(biosilk works wonderful!)
Hope this helps
BTW if you will be flat ironing you hair use a thermal protcetor before hand, so you don't dry out your hair.
Also if you have curly hair(really curly) DO NOT get it razor cut, you will end up with fly aways and damaged looking hair.

It's considered fashionable and popular to be "pretty" if you're a guy. I don't know if I'd call it a trend in korean pop because that's ALWAYS been the case (H.O.T. Outside Castle anyone?). But there's more masculine groups too, like 2PM. Girls like guys who take care of themselves, their skin, their hair, and fashion.

Well, there is an EXPENSIVE hair treatment, it's something along the lines of "Japanese Hair Straightening Treatment" It uses many chemicals and heat processes but somehow your hair ends up extremely straight and silky. Plus you can experiment with temporary hair dyes like ColorPulse or professional brands at beauty stores, like Sally's Beauty Supply to see which colors you like best.
