I don't think it's allergies. I think eye twitching comes from stress.

There is a difference between allergies per say and an allergic reaction. WIth an allergic reaction you have a rash, possibly an itchy rash and swelling plus your throat tends to start to swell shut if it is severe. Allergies on the other hand cause sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes. The twitching eye sounds like just one of those things that happens to us once is a while. Even I get that at times. If you mom truely thinks you have allergies she should get you tested so you can get them treated.

The medical term for muscle twitching as commonly occurs around the eye is "muscle fasiculation". This is often a sign of mineral insufficiency in the diet. Magnesium, calcium and potassium supplements may be helpful.

This is not likely to be an allergic reaction. Also, stress may activate it, but stress does not cause it (otherwise, everyone with stress would have this condition).

Best wishes and good luck.

eye twitching is not necessarily allergies.. could be a muscle spasm also...
with an allergic reaction you would have itch watery eyes, running nose, swelling of lymph glands, stuffy nose, swelling of tongue, eyes, lips tingling, itchy red rash... shortness of breath.......there are lots of signs of true allergies..
