You need to carry a bottle of water around with you and take a drink when you feel hungry. Your stomach will think you've eaten so you wil stop feeling hungry. (That's a trick I read about used by people in concentration camps when they were starving.)
Also drinking a lot water is good for you as it cleanses your system.
But don't forget to eat a lot of fruit and vegetables as well, and nuts and things. You can't live on water :-)

Space what you eat out a little more, take small snacks every once and then, and drink water whenever you feel hungry. Sometimes when you think you feel hungry you really are thirsty.

If you are truly hungry you need to eat. Your body is hungry because it is lacking nutrients, just make sure that when you eat you are making healthy choices.
Try drinking more water and eating 5-6 small meals per day.

Try to disassociate calories from foods.
From the wikipedia:
To bring weight under control, Roberts advocates consuming small amounts of very bland but calorie-dense foods, such as extra-light olive oil (not to be confused with extra-virgin olive oil) or sugar water. Diabetics, Roberts warns, should use the oil, not the sugar water. The oil or sugar water should be consumed at least an hour away from (i.e. before and after) anything with flavor, even toothpaste. According to Roberts, this practice dissassociates flavor from calories, convincing the body to lower the set point, suppressing appetite, and thereby inducing weight loss without hunger.

Eat just enough to tide you over even if you have to eat small amounts more than three times a day. Also, exercising will make you feel hungry faster.

Only if you know you've eaten a good meal and either water or juice, you should nibble on anything just as long as it's not that bad for you. Examples: Fruit, cereal if you can't take the milk try the new lactaid that' s really good, or a baked potato. Something like that, too much candy will hurt your teeth.

ok here is the thing, you should never quit eating. that shuts now your matabalisum (dk how to spell it right) and when that happens it just preserves the cal. so your not really loosing weight and you could get seriously hurt. you want to eat. drink warm water in the morning and b4 you eat meals. the warm water makes you not want to eat as much. and yet you are still eating. also take smaller porshions. the more you have on your plate. your body wants you to eat all of it. also eat slowly so your brain gets the time to tell you that your full and you don't eat that much and dont' take seconds. if you eat fast your brain doesn't have time to tell you that your full and by that time your on your second helping.

Eat more small meals and don't stuff yourself at big meals. Also, drink water to help fill you up, and if you're still hungry, try pickles, they're not that high in calories and stuff.
