I don't know myself though it seems likely to have happened.

I believe it in my heart (its such a nice thought), but my head doubts it. I think the moon might be an artificial structure, hollow on the inside, and that people are actually living on it (on the dark side of the moon). Perhaps the US did go to the moon, but I think that those videos were a farce. How could the flag be flapping in the breeze if there is no atmosphere?

Of course they landed on the Moon- where else did they get the rock samples from. The fact that some people still believe that the Earth is flat does not make it flat. I just hope that there are no more conspiracy theories, they make me feel curiously sleepy.

I don't know anymore.
My whole family was so excited that my dad bought a TV so we could watch them land on the moon (we'd never owned one before, he got it for $5 at the Goodwill) and we all sat together to watch it.
More recently, I've heard so much about Van Allen belts that I'm beginning to wonder if it was technologically possible at that time.
I certainly hope they DID go to the moon; my dad is dead now, and I'd hate for him not to know the truth.

i'm not sure,
did they land on the moon and televise it live?
how did they get a live feed from the moon?
If there is no gravity in space, how did they land their rocket onto the moon without it floating away?
How did they manage to stick the flag into the ground if the moon is allegedly rock?
When the astronauts got out of the rocket how come they never floated into space?

hey giz why don't you ask somebody who was alive back then,oh ya I was kid in 69 and believe it or not NASA and Neil and buzz all landed on the moon, if you think it was done with special effects you should research the technology of the late 60's early 70's after doing so I think you will see they couldn't have faked it they were still using two plates glued together hanging from a string to resemble a flying saucer.

I have answered this question probably a dozen times and once and for all, yes the US did put men on the Moon in 1969. A better question would be why are so many people obsessed with doubting this monumental event. Are people so anti government that they see conspiracy everywhere?

Sure, I'll beleive that happened...this week. I might change my mind later. Plenty of evidence to suggest both proposed 'realities'. Also, it seems like the moon is hollow which would be enough to spook little Cold War Propoganda NASA. (I mean, why go to the moon anymore? The Russians stopped going?) de de de

Sir, for the love of God, for once and for all, will you please look at the archived reams of questions and answers on this tiresome topic. and then realise what a hick-from-the-sticks- you look, coming out with that.
Geologists have studied the returned rock samples. A mirror was placed on the moon, a laser is beamed at it to give us the varying distance to an incredible accuracy. Amatuer radio enthusiasts listened and spoke with the Appolo crew. They had to re-orient their directional antennaes toward the ever moon-bound module. And as for that mighty Saturn 5 rocket, which blasted off from Florida, where did that go then? Hid round the back of the shopping mall, did it?

you have to go to the Smithsonian, look at teh moon lander
go to the NASA museum in Houston;
go and learn about it -- you'll be convinced.
Our country was committed to an all out crash program to develop space technology, and we did it. there are people in the space station orbit Earth, right now!!!
Believe it or not, they're up there.
