I want more privacy from my parents?

Question

*They freak when i talk bout guys (i am almost 12!)
*they walk in on me!
*they have read a diary of mine
*i am afraid to ask them questions
*they e-mail my teachers to make sure i turn in EVERY paper
*Watch me do my homework
It is so annoying!
I want to date guys and go to the movies with them(eventully)
but it isnt gonna happen!(PARENTS ARE WAY TO OVERPROTECTED!)
They also want me to homeschool because of "Bad school" but i have friends and crushes!
What shall i do?

omfg i feel the same way i am also the same age and my parents there like u shouldn't have bfriends at this age and i'm like omg that's not fair i mean i had a bfriend that they never knew about and they still donn't know i'm dating guys!and i totally agree with u my mom makes me wait in the car until the bell rings i'm like leave!but u should also date tghe guy in secret

well they're really protective, which isn't always such a bad thing because it can keep you out of some really bad stuff, especially situations with the guys. And you're at that age when they're freaking out cuz they're little girl's growing up and almost a teenager. Prove to them that you're responsible. For the things you listed, I have some advice. Make sure you don't talk about guys around them. If you talk about them on the phone w/ your friends, go in your room and talk, if at all possible. But don't make them mad. Come out if they ask you to. If you lock the door, they might threaten to take the door down or actually end up doing it. To keep them from walking in on you, go hide behind a bed or something when you change. Or go in your closet and change. Or go into the bathroom and change, cuz if they think you're takin a deuce, chances are, they WON'T wanna come in! lol. Really think about the questions you ask before you ask them, and how they might react and then go from there. If you must keep a diary, hide it in a place that's nasty or that they'd hate to look in (like dirty laundry, for example). Or keep a decoy and put a bunch of boring things in it and put it somewhere where they'd find it. For the emailing teachers thing, maybe they have a reason to think you're not doing your work if you haven't at times in the past. Just keep bein a good girl and doin your work. If your parents don't get tired of it,you can talk to your teachers and ask them to talk to your parents. For the homework thing, you can try getting your homework done at school or on the bus. Or you can ask them a bunch of questions. My dad hates it when I need help w/ my homework! As for the movies, go with friends (both guys and girls so your parents can't really call it a "date") And that way it can be safer if there's more people around so the guys won't try anything dangerous. But like you said, that can wait for later, cuz there's a bunch of nasty pervs out there that like to take kids, unfortunately. That's probably one of the things your parents are most worried about. Homeschooling, well sometimes kids that are homeschooled are too sheltered and have a little harder of a time socially and never get to see their friends much. Try explaining that to thelm. But remember, really think about these things before you try any of them. Only you know how your parents would really react, so don't do anything if you think there's a chance you might get in trouble. These are just things that I would do. And remember that 12 is too young to really "date," but there's nothing wrong w/ being friends w/ the guys. Just watch out for the really bad ones! good luck!

I suggest you go experience life with someone who doesn't have someone watching over them and see how they live. Unless you have been in a coma, its not easy raising a child in this day and age. If your parents seem too overprotective its because they CARE!!!! You will definitely see how paranoid you were when you have your own kids. Talk to them like mature 12 year old not as some whiny kid and let them know how you feel. Hopefully you all can work out some way that will benefit everyone.

Your parents are trying their best to guide you and make good decisions.They want their daughter to stay safe and to be educated. Iadmit reading your diary is going over the top.Put it somewhere they cant find it. As for boys you are too young to be dating. Do you want to get pregnant?Ruin your chances of getting a goodeducation and job?Your parents know you better so I guess they have good reason to keep an eagle eye on you. You could show them them how responsible you can be by behaving responsibly.Then you might get some privacy. I am a parent of a 12 year old but she behaves responsibly by doing her schoolwork and helping me at home without question.She is not keen on boys.

You should thank your lucky stars that your parents care enough to give you guidance. As a teacher, I see students who parents don't give a darn about their kids. They don't have curfew, restrictions, can eat what they want, go where they want. And guess what? These are the most miserable children I know.

u have money so get a lock on yo door so they cant come in and have a key for it tell them that its time for them to treat u like a older person and tell them that u will go to the movies and hang out wit yo friends so they cant do nothing
