Interesting you say that, All the writers of the bible had differnt life experiences, came from differnt backgrounds & at times where differnt sexes. Yet all say the same thing ,"it isn't I who write this but God who commanded that they write" as thier souces. Isa.1:2, Amos :3, Jer 38. Romans 4: 3 it is all the way through th bible, but the few Ivewritten are just the tip of the iceberg. The bible was written from Old Testament to New testament inover 2000 years & it repeats & reiterates, the same message all the way through & sites the source as the same all the way through Tell me what other religion actually has that as a testament to the truth that lies within the covers. It is the only religion that has forgivness, & salvation for everyone how do I know this, because I have reseached other religions to find one that answered ALL my questions without a doubt. Christianity does that.
I do not wish to be disrespectful or ignorant, so I research my answers before hand or have them here with me in a well read library. Also I choose not to say "You are wrong for believing that way!" because in judgeing that way, I will be judge in that same manner also, so I see it is better not to judge at all & accept people for who they are & what they believe & show people my beliefs then tell them (& believe me helping others, loving & being a good to all is so much more rewwarding) I also wish to point out that it is by your actions, more than words, that will show people the truth in Christianity.
The other reality is there are poeple around the world who are being Persecuted & Killed because they changed from thier old ways /faiths & WILLINGLY became Christian, yet you make no mention of that.
Good luck

Okay, the Bible was written by man. I'll give you that one. And there's no real way in knowing if what it says is true or not. Except through faith. Faith is the foundation of Christianity, heck, all religions. Faith is something that alows us to have "personal knowledge." That is, while it may not be an absolute truth like 2+2=4 (even that requires some faith; numbers don't actually exist physically) it can be true to someone personally. Things like Christianity that cannot be proven true OR false require personal faith to justify whether or not it's actually true.
With that said (I hope it's understandable), Christianity states that God's Holy Spirit inspired (definition: to communicate or suggest by a divine or supernatural influence...huh.) those who wrote the Bible to put exactly what He wanted into it. Through faith, we can trust in this and know that the Bible is the true word of God, and that our God is the true God.

I am a Christian. I respect everyone no matter what religion and if you are Christian and look down on others because of there religions then you have issues. but I KNOW that Jesus Christ is real and died for everyones sins. The bible was simply WRITTEN by Christian men. They only wrote it down. The words they wrote were from God. Also, there is proof everywhere that God is real. look around you (not in your house I mean, but outside, nature) consider yourself. Look at how your body works, plans grow, you speak, move, live. How could evolution create something so complex and wonderful. Even little cells and atoms were created to for a reason. No matter how far scientists look, they will never find life on another planet. Even now you can find proof anywhere that God created the earth and He wrote the bible.

I like that it was penned by man, if it were written by angels I’d have a hard time relating.
And if God told someone to write “I am the true God”, I’m sure he can manage things so that an imperfect person followed directions closely. Let’s say men who are so imperfect failed much like you say… Well then Noah probably would have drowned because he would have built a poor quality Ark, that couldn’t last the duration of the flood.
And if man as the bible says originated from just two people Adam and Eve it’s likely to me that when people began spreading through out the earth that everyone carried the Fundamental beliefs but modified things to their likings. It makes sense, otherwise why are distance religions like Roman Catholics & Buddhist’s so similar in customs? Did someone copy someone? Probably stemmed from Adam & Eve..
Seems to me like you’re not interested in looking for answers, just in being angry.

People have the right to believe what they want to believe!! All I know is that I am Christian and nobody is going to change that!!
Christians are not the only people that think their god is the only god. Why is your question directed at just Christians, when like I said before other religions think their god is the only one also.
Christians have the right to believe that our God is the only God and so do the other religions!
We will have to find out who is right on judgement day, until then don't ask anymore ignorant questions aimed at just one religion.

Why are you singling out Christians when you admit that other religions also claim their God as being the one true God? There are many religions that make this claim.
I say this from an objective point of view, since I don't share any of these beliefs; but I do see the prejudice, hate and war that results when people claim their religion to be the only "true" religion.

There are so many religions in the world, and when you do looking into the background of them, most are very similar in fundamental values and principals. The very nature of human belief is that it is influenced by surrounding culture, history, and education. This is why even one faith can take on so many different faces around the world. There are regions of the world where tribal religions are so entrenched in daily customs that when missionaries introduce their ideas into that culture, the practices taught by the missionary are just absorbed into the existing practices...and voila! A new offshoot of a faith is formed. Our practices in western culture of researching and studying things to find knowledge have an effect also, in that people of various faiths are extremely theological in the practice of their faith. In regions of the world where war, poverty, and political unrest prevail, these conditions spill over into the practice of their faiths also. And don't ever fool yourself into thinking that Christians don't fight "holy wars" or kill people who don't share their faith! They absolutely do those things, and always have! From the witch-hunts, to ethnic cleansing wars, and perhaps some modern wars...they are in there like dirty shirts, spreading the gospel, lock stock & barrel!

Believing that Jehovah or God or Alah or El Shaddai or whatever you wanna call Him is the only God is a HUGE part of the Christian religion and a lot of Christians are taught that it's their personal responsibility to tell everyone else that.
In fact, the first commandment in the Christian religion is "Thou shall have no other gods before Me"....meaning there are no other Gods to a Christian. I hope that helps to answer your question.

Looks like from your rhetoric you only want to use this forum for a platform versus sincere, cogent, and rational inquiry.
Ask a question with these characteristics and you may get a similar response outlining why the Christian God is the one, true, God.

hello! muslims will asnwer Allah is the true god and Islam is true. Jews will answer Jehovah is the true God and Judaism is true. so if that's part of our beliefs, why do you, who don't share our beliefs, care so much?
think logically. if we believe there's one God, why would we justify a belief in hundreds of gods? that'd be like calling God a liar.
and besides. all texts were written by man. that makes all religious text equal in terms of it's ability to have error.
and I wouldn't care if someone told me my God was false. I'd probably just laugh. there are no other gods to me, so it doesn't really matter what if someone else disagrees.
and a non-Christian doesn't have the juristiction to tell me whata "Good" Christian is.
